- KKatieLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWonderful ambience, great service and food was delicious. We had the cheese soufflé, butternut squash soup to start, Goose and Turkey Shepherds Pie, haddock and chips and risotto for our main courses. Friendly service and we were in and out in an hour and a half, in time for a theatre matinee at 2pm.More infoThe Ivy West StreetPrice: Very Expensive• Modern European• Covent Garden•4.5
- JJohnLondon •8 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoConsistently great food and service complemented by a great atmosphere and grand choice of wine. Menu was again refreshingly much changed since we were here a few weeks back and it was fun once again to escape through the back of the wardrobe for a couple of happy hours.More infoCloth RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Traditional French• Farringdon•4.7

- JJeffLondon •1 review5.0Dined on 7 Nov 2024A work colleague recommended The Grenadier for their Beef Wellington, and it did not disappoint. We arrived at the well hidden pub on a cute, cobblestone street, and it did not look too busy with only a couple of people outside having a drink. The minute we opened the door, we were surprised to see it packed from wall to wall with an energetic, upscale after work crowd. What a great atmosphere! The ceiling is covered with paper money from around the world. They had our reserved table right away, so we were a little sad that we had to leave the fun bar area, but we were excited to try the menu. The dining room was only a few inches away. There are only a handful of tables in the entire restaurant, and it is cozy and quaint. There is not a lot of room in this pub, but that's what makes the ambiance so great. We ordered the Scotch Egg for the appetizer. The presentation was magnificent, and they tasted as good as they looked. The Beef Wellington was perfectly cooked, and the gravy was spectacular. The fresh cask ales were a prefect addition to a memorable night. Afterward, when we told people about our wonderful night, they kept saying, "Oh, yeah. That place is famous." Definite recommend! You can order appetizers at the bar, but i recommend getting reservations so you can enjoy the Beef Wellington.More infoThe GrenadierPrice: Moderate• British• Belgravia•4.7
