- HHowardLondon •13 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI read multiple "poor" and "terrible" reviews on TripAdvisor that I almost cancelled my reservation. I am so delighted that I proceeded undeterred. My two dinner guests and I had a fabulous time. Great, attentive service by management and staff of many different nations. No request was too much with the food and drinks orders. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals: I am of a disposition where I have little or no interest in photographing a meal serving plate, so no visual evidence. I would not hesitate to return to Smith's Bar & Grill. Yes, the toilets are clean too.More infoSmith's Bar & GrillPrice: Moderate• British• Paddington•4.3

- MMelodieLondon •9 reviews4.0Dined on 17 Feb 2025Need a civilized enclave away from the madness of the West End? If you stick to the set menu at Ham Yard, you'll get reasonable value too. Great staff, good food, gorgeous spacious setting. The drinks are rather overpriced though. There's a dry house white for £13.00 (which I didn't personally like) but anything other than that by the glass is upwards of £23. I think that's too steep, even in today's economy. I'd have liked a medium wine but was not prepared to pay £30 for one glass. Also, the set menu is advertised as being from 12pm to 6pm and 9pm to 10:30pm. We booked for 9.45 but initially were told the set menu wasn't available, although we did have it in the end. The staff were lovely about it, but it seemed a bit off. Having made those few criticisms, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place as a haven from the madding crowd and with the most divine puddings, if your purse can take it....More infoHam Yard Bar and RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Modern European• Soho•4.5
