Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in East Kilbride

This is my favourite steak restaurant in Glasgow and hence why once again I chose it for my Birthday lunch with family. My wife had obviously told them that it was my birthday so there was a birthday card on the table..a nice touch. Anyway starters were excellent with the pork cheek and tiger prawn being superb. I had had the philly cheese steak spring rolls previously and knew these were really filling however my son had these and they looked superb. We all had fillet steaks cooked to either medium rare or medium and all were cooked to perfection. Accompanied by hand cut chips we also had sides of onion rings, rocket and parmesan, mac and cheese and glazed carrots and by the end we were all full although I did not have a dessert my wife and future daughter in law did and they looked brilliant. An incredible meal for a special occasion, I went for Valentine’s Day and it was the best meal I have had for a long time. A great atmosphere with live dancers, music and staff where extremely attentive. We ordered two tacos, a sharing meat platter with fries and the churros to finish. Everything was cooked to perfection.

Visited The Spanish Butcher in Glasgow for my fiancé's 30th birthday last night. Great touch from the staff leaving a little branded birthday card for him. Everything was perfect. The staff are all knowledgeable & well mannered. We had a starter each & shared a chateaubriand (galician) with some sides. Our food was all absolutely perfect. Definitely the best steak we've ever had. The restaurant decor was moody & intimate & gorgeous. I can't wait for another special occasion to come back.

Velvet Sparrow has never disappointed. Sean and his team are at the top of their game. Great food Great service Great atmosphere. Unfortunately Velvet Sparrow is closing on Sunday 9th February. Sean and his team will be greatly missed. Best wishes guys, look forward to catching up with you in the future. I’m sure it won’t be too long until you’re back.

Having read some of the reviews I wasn’t sure this would be a great experience. It was the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Everything on the cake stand was fresh and delicious. The waiter was lovely, very good at his job. Being a Tuesday it was quiet but very enjoyable. The only downside was it was a little pricey but I guess you get what you pay for.
