This 17th Century building sits above a shallow slope to the Thames and enjoys both a sunny veranda balcony and a pretty paved garden right on the riverside.Apart from one or two extensions over the years the pub building remains relatively untouched, giving it a traditional pub feel.Festooned with flowers and plants outside in summer and warmed with log fires in the winter it’s been a very special local in Twickenham for many years.

The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. The beautiful traditional pub is a Grade 2 listed building, steeped in heritage from the local South Kensington area. The site today is a vibrant and iconic London venue, popular with locals and tourists alike, sporting a routinely bustling bar area, a beautiful garden terrace, along with a quiet & cosy dining room, all serving food all day out of our AA Rosette awarded kitchen.We are very happy for people to bring in dogs to the pub, but in our restaurant we run on a strict no dog policy. The Anglesea arms is an over 21’s premises.

    We had a superb meal - to be candid this a restaurant rather than a gastropub. My starter of clam chowder showed the skill of the chef: no flour, hit of sweetcorn, tasty fish which wasn't over cooked and a real depth of creamy flavour. Beautifully presented. Best clam chowder I've ever had (and I have been to Boston). My main of chicken breast that was broiled and finished on et char grill was equally exceptional. Great flavour and served a bed of roasted new potatoes and green veg with a sauce and a gravy, all beautifully presented (again). The ambience is great: lively but not noisy, a definite local and handy for the theatre, all set off by crisp white linen and sparkling cutlery and glassware. Thank you very much - we won't be looking any further next time we are in Richmond!

    This is a little gem of a place located near to Hampton Court. The food is wonderful and reminds me of my trip to Japan. Cooking at your own table is a delight with all the help you need if you need it to enjoy the flavours of Japan.
