The Pen and Wig is a haven in the middle of the city. We are a traditional pub a mere 3 minutes’ walk from Queen Street. We serve quality food until 10pm and we have an amazing beer garden that is in use all year round. We also have an ever changing selection of real ale that we source from our local breweries and also a few from further afield. We are very proud to have been included in Camra’s Good Beer Guide for last six years.

The heart of the busy Village of LLanishen in north Cardiff. We are a traditional local pub serving food and cask ales in a beautiful historical building. Showing live sport, live music, and always a really warm welcome. At the centre of the community we support many local pub teams such as skittles. We have a beer garden and car parking. We serve food all day or just pop in and try one of our Cask ales. At the weekends we like to get a bit more energetic with regular live music.

Service was great and our waitress Cammy was very attentive and welcoming. Food was excellent and well presented - the steak was fabulous and nicely seasoned. All staff we interacted with were friendly and the restaurant has decent space between the tables so you’re able to enjoy your meal without worrying about moving around or getting out - with limited mobility it takes a while to get moving and in some restaurants you feel that you need to get out quickly so as not to disturb other diners. This is not the the case here and that is appreciated.

Excellent quality and presentation of food. Service was outstanding, high standards, waited until everyone had finished eating before clearing plates. Sat in Conservatory which was lovely. Variety and choice of food was also excellent. It was a birthday celebration, candle was placed in dessert and complimentary drink given. Definitely will return!!

Fantastic staff and atmosphere. Went around 9pm and it was extremely quiet (customer wise) so was a little hesitant on arrival but was extremely pleased with the food and staff at this establishment. We had the cote de boeuf with two sides to go with it and it was delicious!
