- BBrianNorfolk/Suffolk •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoI prefer a small number of choices on the menu of well cooked food and this is their new menu, so well done for that. I had the burger and it was well cooked and beautifully presented. For me was slightly too salty but otherwise i and my fellow guests really enjoyed their meals.More infoWorlington HallPrice: Expensive• English• Worlington•4.6

- RRodCambridge/Cambridgeshire •9 reviews5.0Dined on 13 Nov 2024An extremely enjoyable evening's dining in very pleasant surroundings, enhanced right from the start with a complementary glass of very good prosecco. At all times the service - never intrusive - was polite and friendly. We chose only two courses, main and dessert + coffees. Each of these was perfectly prepared and presented - most of all, delicious. The main courses, quite ambitious and imaginative, were very tasty and enjoyable - finished to the very last morsel! Overall, a most delightful experience. Highly recommended and we intend returning soon.More infoThe Dining Room at Poets HousePrice: Expensive• British• Ely•4.3

While the restaurant's setting is pleasant enough, it's the extraordinary food that truly steals the show here. The kitchen's expertise is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish emerged as a masterpiece of flavour and presentation, demonstrating remarkable attention to detail and creative flair. The chef's commitment to excellence was evident in every carefully crafted course, making this establishment a genuine haven for food enthusiasts. The service was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable without being pompous, and delivered with the sort of quiet confidence that comes from true professionals. The staff struck that perfect balance between formal and friendly that makes dining out such a pleasure. Yes, the prices reflect the premium experience on offer, but given the outstanding quality of the cuisine, one can hardly quibble about the cost. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for – and here, you're paying for culinary excellence. For those seeking truly exceptional food in Cambridge, The Waterwheel is, quite simply, a must-visit establishment. While the ambiance might not bowl you over, the masterful cooking certainly will.
