Nestling in the heart of the beautiful Kentish Weald-the Garden of England, the Star and Eagle Hotel is located in the village of Goudhurst.     We had a bad experience at The George after the pandemic. So thought we would try again as we live locally. This time was fantastic with great food and service and it is so beautifully decorated. Our lovely Spanish waiter made us feel very spoilt, especially as this was our Ruby Anniversary. We will be back.

    Fabulous champagne bar with lovely low light atmosphere, wonderful live music from Jennifer Maslin and we shared a wonderful cheeseboard! Cocktails were really lovely and great win selection and of course fabulous champagne! Our host for the evening was Simon. He was attentive and very personable and made us laugh and I will definitely be going back………

    Our first visit and what an amazing experience it was! During a 30th birthday celebration I couldn't think of a better place to go. Amazing food, phenomenal service, beautiful surroundings and such a special evening. Will certainly be returning, if only the restaurant was closer to us (but worth the travel ten times over).
