Excellent place. There was a small problem initially where the chef was preparing our orders in front of other customers but not towards us. We were puzzled because the whole idea of such a place is to experience the process of preparation. Nevertheless once we asked for that to be rectified we were delighted to watch the experienced chef preparing wonderful food.

Opting for the 5-course tasting menu during our visit on Wednesday evening, we were treated to a journey of flavours that were as refined as they were inventive. Each dish was a testament to the creative genius of Chef Aktar Islam and his team, blending traditional Indian influences with modern techniques in ways that delighted the senses. From the very first bite, it was clear that each plate had been crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The balance of flavours, the textures, and the presentation were flawless—elevating every course into a work of art. It was impossible to pick a favourite dish as every course brought something unique to the table, showcasing a remarkable depth of culinary skill. The service was equally impeccable. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, their knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings enhancing the entire experience. Every interaction felt warm and genuine, creating an atmosphere of relaxed elegance that perfectly complemented the meal. The highlight of the evening, however, was our post-dinner conversation with Chef Aktar Islam. visiting Buonissimo Restaurant is always a very enjoyable time with fantastic food and service. I recently celebrated my birthday there with a friend and nothing was too much trouble the attention to detail and the service was superb.

What Harborne High Street needed! The chicken tenders are up there with the best we've had. The wings and loaded friends were lovely too. Washed it down with a lovely pint of Peroni and took an Oreo milkshake away which was delish! We had a few games of pool afterwards which was fun and this is why i say the High street needed something quirky/casual and fun with quality food. Brilliant place for groups to visit! We'll be back!
