Gloria Gati is the new restaurant of chef George Papakostas who jokingly refers to Gloria as the older sister of Vittoria Gati, another famous restaurant of his in Glyfada. Gloria is located in a historic building in the Athens center just 50 meters from Syntagma square. It is defined by an eclectic vintage design in a very cosy space where the pizza oven takes center stage. The bar serves award winning cocktails and over 100 wines from Greece and around the globe. The menu is Italian with a focus on homemade pasta and quality meats. The pizza is made from a 1937 sourdough and baked in a traditional oven imported from Naples. Some of the signature dishes include the steak tartare, arancini bolognese, the raviolo cacio pepe, the reginette al tartufo for truffle lovers as well as pollo francese and the ossobuco which is cooked for 12 hours. Excellent experience. Fantastic service in a wonderful space with beautiful and fragrant oriental lilies. Sea bass was great but the short rib was even better. The beef carpaccio / tartare was far better than we had in Spain and Portugal. Must return!

Nice Restaurant. Excellent food. Service initially outstanding...faded over time. Didn't care for card paying procedure. No swipe or chip. Had to give card to waiter. But, still enjoyed dinner.

Just a short taxi ride from the Acropolis & within walking distance from Syntagma Square, this restaurant is outstanding! With colorful decor, excellent service & delicious Thai selections, you will be very happy with your dining experience at Thai Zab. We were looking for a tasty alternative to Greek cuisine, and we were delighted to have found Thai Zab. Thank you, Thai Zab!
