Best Italian Restaurants in West Islip

Absolutely everything we ordered was perfect. And it was hard to make a decision so we’ll have to to come back. There were so many options that I loved. My friend and I ordered dirty martinis, mine had blue cheese, stuffed olives, and hers did not because she doesn’t like that. They were perfect. Then we both ordered a Manhattan with Rye, which was also lovely, although the restaurant should probably invest in some better cherries… You should have Amarena cherries on hand with craft cocktails.  For appetizers, we got the risotto balls, the meatballs, and the artichokes oreganata… Everything was fantastic and we took some home. For dinner I ordered the Andrew’s chicken, my husband ordered the spicy chicken with the cherry peppers, and our friends ordered the shrimp over spinach. We were way too full for dessert but next time I’m getting the espresso martini flight for dessert! Our waiter was not around enough, but he was super busy from what I could tell— the place was jammin.’ However, there is plenty of other busing staff and food runners that were always on hand to help with anything we needed. We will definitely be back. 

First time dining at Primi, everything was top notch. Service was perfectly attentive but not in your face, everyone was so pleasant and welcoming. The food and drinks were fantastic. They even brought a desert with a candle for my husbands birthday, which even tho I have noted on open table before at other restaurants, it has never been acknowledged. Primi is definitely a step above the rest.

Place was very nice friendly staff very cozy little expensive and not much food for the price I had stuffed shrimps they only gave me 4 pieces did not fill me up the dish was $43 not worth it 6 shrimps would of been better and more satisfying So to the owner of establishment 6 shrimps would be better there small shrimps

We’ve been here a couple of times, and each time we dine here we love it. Our server was wonderful and our dishes were excellent. Starters were the bread and calamari, bread was hot and delicious. Calamari was lightly battered and tender. Cacio Peppe perfect, Bronzino flavorful, Pappardelle great and chicken piccata plentiful. Desserts were gelato and flourless chocolate cake. Restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays as well. We’ll be back!

I had a great experience at Butera’s. They were great with changing my reservation last minute and being flexible for accommodations. The food came out super quick and staff was readily available to help. This might be one of the best meals I have had out dinning.
