We went to Ruth’s Chris in Pasadena for our anniversary dinner. The staff was courteous and attentive, the food was excellent, and the entire experience was top notch. They made our anniversary feel special; they even customized the front page of the menu with our names and decorated our table with hearts. The food was very good, especially the steaks But the pacing was off and my wife’s crabcake did not arrive for a good 5 minutes after the other 4 of us were served. And there was a long lag before we were even asked about dessert. Entered at 5:30, out at 8. Too long for a fine dining experience.

Some items were exceptional; ceviche, bluefin tuna appetizer, roasted yams, ribs, sea bass, pasta with seafood. The misses; focaccia bread for $11!, cioppino was too salty, pork chop sauce was so sweet the flavor of the high quality pork was disguised. Drinks were all very good. Will definitely be back for the scallops and fried sea bream.
