At the table there was expert help in picking food and wine combinations that were spot on. The amuse included lemon arancini that popped with bright lemon flavor and a glaze and greens nicely complementing. We split the crab toast and pork belly appetizers, it was hard to say which was the best as each was amazing. For entrees we each ordered the filet with creamed spinach and fingerling potatoes. It was perfectly prepared and delicious and we were taken by surprise by the creamed spinach which was by far the best we have ever eaten. Desserts of berries and shortbread provided the perfect ending to a great experience. As usual, the Jazz served as an excellent backdrop for the evening. One of the best dining experiences we have had, thank you for the excellent performance of the entire 18th and 21st team.More info18th & 21stPrice: Expensive• Speakeasy• Columbia•4.8

Our server was excellent, very professional and efficient. Drinks and food items were delicious, and well-paced. We never felt rushed or delayed. An unexpected touch was a table side visit from the owner who stopped by to check on our experience. When he learned that our visit had special meaning for us (41st anniversary of our engagement), he learned what we liked and brought us a bourbon tasting! As we were just ordinary customers, this personal touch that made our great experience extraordinary. Why patronize a chain restaurant or establishment where you are just a number when you can have a great meal and also feel as though you truly matter? TC, please keep up the good work - you are a local gem!More infoTrue ChesapeakePrice: Expensive• Seafood• Hampden•4.7

The staff were very friendly and attentive to our table. We stayed the night in the hotel, had dinner and we stayed around the next day to have lunch. We ended the meal with a Mansion House 1757 cake slice and the chocolate mousse. Chef’s skills in putting together sides, cooking the Wellington’s to a perfect temp, selecting varied cheeses for the tray, and executing the delicious deserts were not unnoticed. He’s up there. We were fortunate enough to speak with him as he took the time to visit each table (this to me displayed confidence in his staff-who also should be commended). A busy evening for the restaurant but nothing failed to impress, they never missed a beat. KUDOS!More infoMansion House 1757Price: Moderate• American• Gettysburg•4.6
