Best Bars And Lounges in Waterfront

We went to celebrate my cousin's birthday and our waitress, Angie (I think that was her name) was awesome. She greeted us well, knew there was a birthday celebration and offered great recommendations. The food was superb - mussels, fried oysters, crab cake, and spinach & artichoke dip was also very good! Always a fun and great time Old Ebbitt and look forward to coming back again - an old staple for us!!!

With a reservation, there was no wait time. It didn’t appear that the restaurant was busy but we were early birds. It got ver crowded as the hours went by. We decided to have the family style brunch. I really liked the different choices. The food was served, quickly. It was hot and fresh. For our appetizers, we enjoyed the deviled eggs, cornbread, Brussels sprouts. The Brussels sprouts were the best!! Our entree dishes included avocado toast, shrimp and grits, French toast, and the egg scrambler. All of them were delicious!! It was plentiful because we took extra food home.

Our server, Jazelle, was amazing. She was attentive, personable, and fun! She made great recommendations and ensured our experience was a great one. If we have the opportunity to return, we’d absolutely sit in her section again. We had an issue toward the end of our meal (hair in food) and had a short encounter with the restaurant manager that was less than impressive. Engaging with patrons and resolving issues was not his priority. No introduction and no eye contact.

Love love the aesthetic and the vibe. Ultra-cool. Service was excellent. I wish the drinks were better. We both got a cocktail, and while they were good, they weren't amazing - which was an expectation we both had. They didn't seem to have enough liquor in them and really mild on flavor. The food however, was great. Would definitely go again as the presentation of the restaurant from coming out of the ride share and walking up, to being seated was such a fabulous feeling.
