We went to Pietro’s to celebrate a birthday. We were sat in a private room which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was great and service was outstanding. However, I was extremely disappointed with the 20oz cowboy ribeye steak that I had ordered. The steak was undercooked, chewy, not very flavorful, and nothing that I was expecting with how highly recommended the restaurant came. The sides were all delicious and others in the party enjoyed their meals. I’m assuming this was a one off incident and not routine as many people have raved about their steaks.

My friend and I went for Happy Hour yesterday and couldn’t believe how crowded the bar was on a Wednesday night. The mango martini was very refreshing and we truly enjoyed the tuna skins, Shanghai calamari and black and white seared tuna.

I took my wife to Pietro’s Prime for our anniversary last week. The room in which we were first seated was crowded and very noisy. We asked to be moved to a quieter table, and fortunately one had just opened up in a smaller room. The ambiance in the second room was nicer and the room was quieter. Our waitress Isabelle (sp?) was excellent; she brought us a complimentary glass of champagne when we told her it was our anniversary, and did a great job being attentive without being overbearing. She was also very helpful in making drink and menu recommendations. My wife enjoyed her Cobb salad. I had the mushroom soup which was good but not as creamy or thick as I expected. For entrees, my wife had the filet and I had the Delmonico cut of steak: both were delicious! We ordered the smashed potatoes and creamed spinach for sides and really enjoyed those as well! All in all, a delicious meal and great service - we will definitely be back.
