Compared to many brunch places, Portege Bay has good selection of brunch menu. We have had brunch at both the SLU location as well as the one on Roosevelt. Enjoyed the hot apple cider in both places. However, the food seemed tastier at the Roosevelt location.

Even though it was very busy and we were early for our reservation, we were seated quickly. Service was very good and the food was great!

The food was delicious! Our waitress accommodating! I did tell them it was my birthday and there was no special attention or treats😜 I just turned 65 and I was looking for special attention!

We went for brunch on New Years’s Day. The places was packed and although we had a reservation but it took ~30mins to get a seating. The food was amazing. We ordered the Classic French Toast and the Joe’s Scramble. Both the dishes had good portions. Portage Bay SLU is one of our top to-go brunch spots. We have been here multiple times and the experience here has been great most of the times.

Made an appointment for 12:45pm didn’t get sat until 30-40 minutes after. People coming in after us were getting sat first. When asking how much longer the girl said there was 3 people ahead of us and proceeded to seat like 7 parties ahead. When finally getting walked to our table the person taking us said, I’m gonna seat you at a dirty table but it’s a better table, we were just like uhh okay thanks! He sat the menus on the dirty table came back with a rag and cleaned the table, and left the now dirty menus on the table for us, we didn’t care at this point we were starting to get hangery. Our server was wonderful and I’m sad I forgot her name but she was sweet, happy, and very patient with us. My food was very mid, not the best food descriptions, I ordered the MIGAS and my food item came out looking like a quesadilla and no where on the menus does it say it was a quesadilla. Whatever, the potato’s were hard to chew. Only good part was the fruit and whipped cream from the fruit bar for the pancakes and French toast my boyfriend got. Next time that’s all I’m getting if there’s a next time that was truly delicious!
