   Limited selection of hot food and dessert and not near the selection we had a few years ago made this Easter buffet definitely not worth the price.

   This is our third year in a row attending Easter brunch at the Rimrock. We love the Easter egg hunt beforehand and wide selection of brunch afterwards and have made it an annual tradition. We were very disappointed this year for a couple reasons. The Easter egg hunt was supposed to run from 10:30am-11:30am, but by 11am when we arrived, it was completely shut down and there was no sign of the Easter bunny. None of the staff seemed to know what was going on, some sent us looking for the Easter bunny, but he was nowhere to be found. We even waited outside for 15 minutes as the ladies at the spa said he would be coming back (he did not). We figured we’d see him at the brunch, as last year he came around and handed all the children a small stuffy. Brunch used to be in the banquet hall and this year was moved to the Primrose dining area. The selection was probably 20% of the size of the previous years and the food that was there was unappetizing. For $90 a person (a notable increase from prior years), the quality and selection of the food resembled a mediocre weekend brunch. Disappointing experience and sad to see the Rimrock lower their standards of what previously was such a wonderful family event. Our daughter is still asking what happened to the Easter bunny this year!

   The pastas that could have been created with the ingredients at hand were worse quality than what you could make at home. Upon being seated we could see many people picking up items like cookies and putting them back again. We had to ask to be served to order a bottle of wine. Appetizer/charcuterie selection was the better of all the foods on offer so we filled up on that. Despite lots of window side tables available, we got seated close to the buffet so the entire meal we had lots of people leaning/sitting against our table while we ate. Overall the experience felt very cheap despite us spending $150 on a meal for 2 people - expected a higher quality from the Rimrock. Luckily it’s the last of the pasta night offering - wouldn’t return otherwise.

   Excellent pasta buffet, well stocked salad bar and charcuterie buffet. The servers are very attentive, Aila did a wonderful job.

   Service and hospitality was great! Awesome suggestions by our server. We got the focaccia and it was a highlight! They paid close attention to the allergy at our table, which was also comforting. Food and drinks took a little while, but we’re delicious.

   Great view and staff that seemed to really want to give their best but they were clearly understaffed. Some items like the focaccia and beets were tasty but others like the crab cakes and “prime” ribeye were very very disappointing. Hope they get the help and leadership they need.

    My rating is based on the fact that I expect more from a fine-dining experience. Our server kept disappearing although there were not a lot of guests and the server to table ratio was small. I believe she only had 2 tables she was responsible for (ours and another). My husband's walleye was cold - in which the response by the server was that it was sous vide to 42C. Perhaps that is the case, but when it was brough to the table, I guarantee that it was not 42C and also the sides that came with the walleye were also lukewarm. For a >$40 dish, I expect more. I would also not recommend the charcuterie. It resembled that of a grocery store version - complete with Lesley Rowe Raincost crisps. Again, as a restaurant and hotel that purports a fine dining experience - complete with prices to match, it definitely was not. The only item I would recommend is the mushroom sphaghetti.
