At The Peacock, we create experiences. Throughout the hotel and restaurant, our team is dedicated to designing an occasion tailored to you. The creativity and quality of our dining offering has ensured that The Peacock’s restaurant has consistently retained its 3 AA rosettes for the last eight years. Our Head Chef, Dan Smith, changes the menu with the seasons, guaranteeing that each dish is carefully crafted with the freshest ingredients all year round. Our professional and experienced front of house team are always on hand, providing impeccable service and enhancing your visit however possible. Private dining guests can take advantage of each room until 5pm for lunch, or from 6.30pm - 11.30pm in the evening. If staying overnight, rooms will be entirely at your disposal for the duration of the evening. Please note that we can cater for any dietary requirements, so do be in touch to discuss

The Derwent

Boasting a George III mahogany table, the garden-facing Derwent Room features original pieces of artwork and further unique furnishings which maintain the historic character of the building. The room can seat parties of up to 14 people, but can be adjusted to smaller parties for more intimate gatherings.
The Wye room

Like the Derwent Room, the Wye Room faces the hotel gardens and is furnished with antiques and artwork to compliment the building’s history. Second generation Robert Thompson mouseman tables line the room, seating a maximum of twenty people and creating a hollow square with enough space to enjoy pre-dinner drinks before sitting for your meal.

The restaurant has solid oak, first generation mouseman tables dating back to the early 20th century, comfortably seating 30 guests. As the largest dining room, there is ample space to have drinks, with French doors that open onto the garden patio, allowing guests to enjoy coffee in the garden after their meal (weather permitting).
