   Frequent customer to Center Cut, decent food and atmosphere, and like supporting our local businesses. Probably the last time we go. I received my bill and found they began to add hidden charges for use of a credit card. No communication anywhere or from the wait staff regarding this charge. This is simply fraud and the consumer would not know unless they examine the bill closely. What a poor business decision, hope the $3 mattered at the loss of a regular customer.

   Good food and service. The music was so load it was hard to have a conversation across our small table!

   Service was great and food was good but we were seated in the bar with our family (multi-generational) and the live music was much too loud. We asked if the music could be turned down, but the musician did not. We will not be back unless we bring our earplugs and don’t want to enjoy conversation.

   Server wasn’t impressive and took awhile, but was good, just not great. They need to add some sound deadening materials to their restaurant, it’s very loud and has a lot of echos. Steaks were great. Drinks were great. Creme brûlée was terrible and didn’t even ha e vanilla beans in it at all, but was recommended by the server. The chocolate mousse was incredible!!!

   Very crowded on New Year’s Eve, slow service, very noisy. Food was good. We have eaten here before and enjoyed it. Maybe just an off night?

   My wife and I went to 129 for dinner on New Year’s Eve. It was our first time there. We had dirty martinis at the bar before our reservation time. My wife had the Argentinian skirt steak and I had the Trio Filet for dinner. They were both cooked perfectly to medium rare and were delicious. Allysa did a great job taking care of us even though it was super busy that evening. We will definitely be back.

   This has been a goto place for years. I have left many positive but this one was not good by any means. I’m hopeful it was a one off. Service was really bad and slow. The manager on duty was going to follow up with us and never even came over after a hr. Will probably try one more time like I said hopefully just a one off and they were not prepared for night sufficiently

   We like Center Cut a lot and go there often as it is a more upscale place in downtown Grayslake. However we are not a fan of live loud music while trying to eat and have a conversation with our dinner companions. If I’m going to see live music I know what I’m getting into and expect to listen and not try to talk during the show. Our reservations were for 5:30 on a Saturday evening, so we didn’t expect to have our conversation compete with live loud music.

    Pleasant atmosphere. Menu has lots of choices. Pleasant server. Very good food.
