1573 Bar & Grill is a local independent restaurant first opened in August 2009 and is located in Grammar School Court within the external area. Meals are prepared using only the best fresh seasonal produce; with fine wines & champagnes, serving light bites, lunch & dinner.

In our unique surroundings, we promise to deliver to you a fantastic meal, in a warm friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

The menu includes Steaks, Seafood, open sandwiches and fresh salad's, perfectly char-grilled with a selection of mouth-watering sides and a selection of sauces world so you can choose your flavour of the day.
Situated at the front of the building is our benched terraced area where you can enjoy drinks and dining overlooking the external area of Highcross.

Poor value for money. Very cold restaurant. Noisey party upstairs leaving g only few people downstairs leading to poor ambience. We won’t be going back.

I was shown to 1 table but the staff could see I was uncomfortable so they moved us to another table which was great the staff were attentive and brilliant The only comment I have is that it was a bit on the cold side The food was excellent can't find a fault

Always go to this restaurant for their amazing rack of ribs. It never disappoints, always perfectly cooked, I'd recommend trying it.

From entrance to exit the experience was absolutely spot on for a Friday night, still managed to maintain 3 courses within 60 minutes while not having any impact on the flavour and quality of the food.

We enjoyed pre-theatre dinner here. Just a 15 minute walk afterwards to The Curve Theatre. Our waiter was superb. So informative and friendly. 10 out of 10 for his attentive service. Our food was faultless. Very tasty and served at a perfect temperature. The atmosphere perfect. A candle was lit on ours and surrounding tables to create the perfect ambience Expect to pay a little more here but you most definitely do get what you pay for. We used a Groupon voucher and received great value for our money. A stunning venue in the heart of Leicester City Centre. I enjoyed the Calamari and Cajun Chicken. You won’t be disappointed.

This restaurant is an absolute gem of a place. Terrific service, atmosphere, food & all. The service was super quick. We’ve had the lunch menu and dinner menu here and both have been great. The paneer dish is absolutely delicious. Couldn’t recommend it enough
