   It took hours to get our dinner. Been here many times and their service is the worst on island. Beautiful spot but waiting an hour on a drink is crazy.

   Kelly was a great server our first night. She was prompt and friendly. The seafood fettuccine and lobster pasta were ok. We ordered a $92 bottle of wine which was very good but I bought the same bottle for $23 in Key West a few days later. I understand it’s expensive to get product to the island but this was a “wine mugging”! We had lunch a couple of times, just ok again. My wife’s bacon cheeseburger was bacon less. Our second dinner was below average. The airline chicken was dry and rubbery, after expressing our dissatisfaction it was comped. The service was very slow, we waited over 1/2 for our meals. Given the status of the resort as “Autograph Collection” the dining in terms of service and quality, was overpriced.

   We had reservations and were on time. Waited a bit at the hostess stand. We needed to go into the bar area to find the hostess to seat us. The waiter service was inattentive and not very personable. We were made to feel like we were a bother. Dropped off the food and never came back until our meal was over. We would have liked a second round of drinks with our meal. It looks like could be a fun place if there was better service.

   Dining on the deck gives you a sunset view of the Caribbean. The menu had a variety of options - the fresh catch of the day was amazing as was my cocktail! Best dinner we had on island!

   The ambiance was perfect. We ordered the Johnny Cakes as starters and they did not come. When out entree was brought out, we informed the waiter that we'd still like the Johnny cakes. They were still not brought out. We remined him again that we'd take them to go, and we got them finally!! The server was very polit, but it would have been nice to have the complete meal as we wanted it.

   The food was very good but we were surprised our server asked us if we wanted our margaritas made with gin or rum (????). Then he brought us iced drinks when we had clearly specified "we want them UP, no ice, no salt". Other than that, all good!

   We had a beautiful and most tasteful dinner. The view of the ocean was wonderful as we sat on the outside deck. Our server Keith was attentive and also gave us the history of the area. Our food was delicious, the grouper, the seafood pasta, and the blue cheese crusted filet mignon (which you could cut with a butter knife) were all exceptional. Do not miss out on this gem!

   First, the best thing-Kelly our server was fantastic. She made us feel at home without being pushy. Recommended things on the menu and was just overall superb! Food was tasty. WE got artichoke pizza with the intent to have leftovers-which we did and warmed up the next day-which was just as tasty. Our meal of grouper was delicious and our desert (light/berry cake) was perfect. Overall, would dine again and recommend Kelly! Kelly even recommended restaurants in other settlements, we might enjoy (Wild orchid in Rock Sound-which we did!)

    Another great dinner at 1648. Just continues to be one of the best restaurants in Eleuthera. It’s a must visit.
