Located within the historic grounds of the Guinness Storehouse, 1837 Bar & Brasserie celebrates the best of Ireland. Named after the year Guinness and oysters were named as the perfect match.

With great views of Dublin city and a menu of classics - smoked salmon, oysters and a rather famous Guinness burger - along with likes of flatbreads, sharing plates and a Guinness chocolate mousse that playfully resembles a glass of the black stuff.

All dishes are designed by our award winning chef Sean Hunter, to be enjoyed with the range of Guinness beers on offer along with a full drinks list.

The Guinness Storehouse restaurants are open to the public without an experience ticket. We ask that restaurant visitors pre-book their table whenever possible. Walk up visitors to our restaurant will be admitted subject to availability. Please be aware restaurant access does not give you Guinness Storehouse Visitor Experience, but you can buy a ticket on arrival at admissions.

Unexpectedly fabulous. From the great interiors to wonderful views and really great food - we would definitely recommend ! The wings are amazing, deliciously fresh oysters and super tasty flatbread - we decided to share 3 or 4 plates, we were not disappointed !

We so enjoyed our Guinness drinks. Restaurant welcome + service was excellent. Food good. V disappointed to have Chilian white wine and really no good wine. Took from our meal as our Australian visitors fancied a good bottle red!!@ Tour was terrific

Absolutely a Must Do if you’re already at the brewery for the tour. The food was excellent all around and complimented the Guinness we were having.

Nice burger in a relaxed Guinness themed setting .Though by the hype and information I expected it to be more special. At €21 each for the burger and a small pot of fries it was overpriced, for which was a basic meal. Our waitress was upbeat and pleasant but the rest of staff seemed disinterested .Didn’t say Hello nor Goodbye despite me having advised it was special birthday lunch . Quick service .Get them and get them out mentality.

I didn’t expect to LOVE the food and the Guinness. I’m not a beer or Guinness but am now a Guinness convert. For starters my husband had the half dozen oysters with the original extra stout and I had the smoked salmon. The salmon was great and the potato cake and perfect amount of sauce were delicious. Then he had the seafood pie and I had the crunchy polenta. Both were good but the polenta was delicious. The seafood pie is heavy because of the mashed potatoes. Definitely try the Guinness chocolate mouse—yummy!! And we need a visiting sea gull Finn McCool. (People, don’t feed the birds!)

We had such a great experience visiting the Guinness storehouse during the morning and, then, we had a perfect lunch. We ordered burger, polenta and a caesar salad. All dishes were delicious and the waitress, Veronica, a young girl, was so quick serving and she was always very kind with us.

Amazing irish stew and west indies Guinness beer. The Irish coffee was very disappointing, full of spray can cream, not at all authentic
