The restaurant at the Vancouver Art Gallery is an unexpected haven in the downtown core. Even if you don't plan to visit the gallery, the restaurant is an great choice to have a meal. The menu has a wide selection of choices and the service was excellent. I chose the Vegan Chorizo bowl which was too spicy for my liking. The server asked me about my tolerance for spice but it was a bit more than expected. I will definitely give the restaurant another try.

Very friendly and attentive service, Loved the lunch fixed menue: particularly the tomato pepper soup and the cookie and ice cream.

I was kinda disappointed this time. I have visited this café before pandemic (Actually the owners changer during pandemic.) . It was wonderful atmosphere , you hear clasical music and birds sounds. I remember all good memories there. However this time its all gone. I would not go back again.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the raspberry cheesecake! It is so pretty that I almost didn’t want to eat it…but was sooo glad when I did! Great service too.

Slow to get a table. Good food, but the fudge cake was a bit dry and the croissant bang mi was a little white washed. The location and overall ambiance of the bistro was great.

The deck outside is wonderful but the Music and vibe is a bar space and so not suitable to a gallery visit with my niece. I sure hope the new gallery will offer a cafe more suitable to a variety of gallery goers. The price point was too high fir students and seniors, constant bar beat too loud for seniors and others, menu limited and quality of food much lower than the price point. Total disappointment.
