   Wonderful Roman cuisine with heart and talent, in a restaurant known for its warm atmosphere, knowledgeable and friendly service, and absolutely delicious food. Last night's feast featured an artichoke sformata (flan), paccheri with wild mushooms and cream, spaghetti alle vongole e sugo, with an equally delicious Barbera d'Alba. Also check out their hidden dining room downstairs... love this place!

   54 Mint deserves another look. Pre-pandemic, the place was hopping at lunch - now with Westfield pretty much gone, so are the crowds. We were a party of six and had a great time - split the suppli and fried smelts as appetizers. Then porchetta, carbonara, saltimbocca, pasta with the rags - everyone was happy with their food. The neighborhood looks a bit forlorn with so few people around, but will be back to 54 Mint for the food!

   The food was excellent and that was only over shadowed by the super service. The food server and server attendant were exceptional. Only negative was the noise. Once the restaurant began to fill hearing my wife across the table became all but impossible. We would have stayed longer but just could not hear

   I love this place! Second time here but they were short on wine we wanted and there was a extra large charge on my bill that needed to be removed! So double check that but definetly amazing food

   Everything took very long. We waited over 25 minutes for cocktails and 35 minutes for bread. After an hour and a half, we still did not receive our main entree and had to leave. Half of the octopus salad was terrific, the other half of the octopus was not cooked all the way through an inedible Waiter was rude and dismissive

   Upon arrival, the transients are a bit overwhelming but there were heavy EMS and city workers around to mitigate. The signs weren’t hard to miss but only Because we were looking for it. Staff was impeccable. We were greeted with smiles and brought to our tables downstairs promptly. The vibe is wine cellar meets Italian country industrial if that makes sense LOL. Cocktails were delicious and strong! Croquette to start and the beef Ragu was to die for. We will definitely be back!

   Food is wonderful. Like the great spots where we are in Rome a year ago. Great atmosphere in the place. Service very good!

   Overall, the four of us very much enjoyed 54 Mint. We were seated downstairs, although the upstairs had much better ambiance. Two of us had an Italian white wine for cocktails, and one had the smoky old-fashioned. The two raved about their wine, whereas there was no smoke taste to the old-fashioned and was just OK. Our two rib-eye steaks were excellent! Many times the rib-eyes can have many “fat pockets” to give the steak moisture. These were high-quality steaks as they were moist and flavorful without all the fat. One had a wonderful experience with the Mary’s brand chicken. The other person had the fettuccini pasta with beef ragu sauce and she said it was excellent. We followed our main courses with coffee and scoops of blood-orange sorbet and chocolate gelato. I would say we all left satisfied and would definitely return.

    Waiter was extremely rude, 2 pasta dishes were cold and should have been warm/hot. Tried to seat us in the dundgeon-downstairs with no windows on a beautiful day. We reminded him we always sit upstairs and did not want to go down those stairs-we're all in our 80's. Just not a good experience at all-we will not return even though we almost always go there when we're going to the Golden Gate theater. We'll find a new place.
