   I booked at short notice for a Christmas work lunch. I was not aware it was carvery. We were seated at table for about 30 minutes before we realised. The hostess did not orientate us to the buffet, or take drinks orders. Bar service slow. Food was ok for carvery. Not an enjoyable experience. Staff on duty appeared to be busy walking up and down, but not actually doing anything. A weird experience

   Normally really enjoy dining here, but this time was not a good experience. We had a booking for a Christmas party, we arrived just after 5.30 and ordered within 20 mins, but our food did not arrive until almost 7pm. Three of us ordered fries with our meals which arrived over 10 mins later than the meals. We had to go to the bar to order further drinks because staff were not coming to the table. It was not a busy evening there so couldn't even put it down to that. Very disappointing considering it's normally a great spot.

   Food is outstanding for flavour , portion size and value ! Staff are very friendly and helpful . Tastefully decorated for Christmas, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended !!!

   The carvery on a Sunday is outstanding the roast beef has to be the best it’s so soft highly recommend

   Always loved eating here but noticing changes. I always order boneleaa chicken wings, plate alway came out with 6 on it, now its 4, may seem petty but no change in price for less!!

    We were really looking forward to our night. We arrived and greated by the host who brought us to our table. We got our menus and ordered some drinks After this the service was really bad it was so slow. We arrived at 6pm and by 6.50 we were still waiting on our starters and then we got our main course 1 person didn't get there we weren't told there was a delay. The dinner arrived 5 minutes after everyone else.... everything on the plate was freezing cold apart from the meat it was terrible. We told the server who huffed and puffed about it and just said oh right I will get more onion rings.... didn't even check for everything else the sauce/chips were cold too. Anyway it was a real pity because the food was lovely and the atmosphere!! It has a great drinks wine too which is super however unfortunately their service let them down immensely!!! We asked for the bill and it arrived in about 2 seconds pity the service overall wasn't as good!!! I would love to say we will be back but don't think we will unless the service improves. If you are in no rush and you don't mind waiting and not being told there is a delay then this is the place for you !!!
