The notable Los Angeles Couple, Babette & Christian are no doubt living a couple’s dream, to be able to work together and married for over 30 years and loving it… In 2012, Babette and Christian birthed A Food Affair, a truly unique French dining experience. From the interior and exterior décor, to your plate, the Royères welcome you to their Provence style home. With Chef Christian managing and orchestrating the back part of the restaurant through his 40+ years of experience in the food industry, and Babette managing the front of the house, these two are the epitome of a successful couple. This dynamic duo is what this dining experience is all about, feeling as if you were already a part of their family.

The mushrooms starter was spectacular as was the bone marrow and their bread basket with butter. One tip, GET THE SKILLET COOKIE!!! PHENOMENAL!!! The chocolate mousse was amazing too! It’s like being in the French countryside, especially with Babette and her husband, the chef greeting us all personally. Love the chicken and brussels sprouts, love the truffle fries extra crispy. We will be back.

Food Affair is a really good French restaurant. My husband ordered a classic French dish tuna tartare and beef bergione. I ordrrrd the organic salad with goat cheese and organic chicken with Brussels sprouts and artichokes. We ordered chocolate mousse for dessert. We were just at Food Affair weeks ago. It is now on our list if favorite restaurants. Service is excellent! Not noisy!

Oh it was the most wonderful evening! The waiter was on top of things the food was so so good (my date was French and he loved it!). He had escargot and the Salmon. I had the endive salad and the boullibase. We had a bottle of Rose the bread basket and Creme brulee for dessert. Wonderful. Highly recommend. Make reservations and get there early as they ran out of one of the specials we wanted by 8pm. We will be back!

This was a great date night. Such an interesting and relaxing vibe in the restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and all the food was fantastic and rich. The chef even came out to introduce himself and thank us for coming. What a great Valentine’s Day dinner. Definitely recommended

My favorite restaurant! Ordered the bread/butter, French onion soup, truffle fries, duck confit, beef bourguignon, crème brûlée, and Meyer lemon pie (one of my fav desserts)! Everything I’ve tried here is good. You can’t go wrong.
