   It was my 45th birthday with my husband and ONE of the best parts was the hosts at checking in! lol We walked in an hour early for our reservation because we had been walking around downtown on a blustery cold day and were ready to call it quits and have a hot dinner with great wine. We were not disappointed. There were multiple hosts at the front and each and EVERY one of them wished me a happy birthday with a welcoming smile. I felt a little bashful at the enthusiastic welcome. Our server was fantastic (although I never caught his name), gentleman with a beard. He was quite knowledgeable and very respectful about possibly being intrusive on our evening (I.e. asking “May I tell you about the specials? May I ask your preferences and tell you about our menu?”) We ordered our wine and the sommelier was so professional, offering to decant my half bottle of Amarone. Timing of service was impeccable, allowing us to enjoy our meal and talk with minimal interruption. As for the meal, my husband and I ordered the “Tomahawk for two” with multiple sides. My husband said it was the best steak he’s ever had! This was truly a wonderful experience to dine at a high caliber restaurant.

   Shane, the server, was the only good part of the night. Filet was over cooked twice, lobster Mac and cheese was not good, and neither were the Brussels sprouts. We had already complained once about the steak and were too tired to complain a second time and eventually just asked for the check to get out.

   Haven’t been here for a few years but was just as good as we remembered. Steaks cooked to perfection. Sides of baked potato, asparagus and mushrooms were plenty to share. Great service. Recommend highly.

   I have eaten at this location 3-4 times and as always the food was excellent ! We got sat immediately for our 6 o’clock reservation and our waiter was very prompt and informative!

   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Boston Classic – Always Outstanding! Abe & Louie’s is our favorite go-to spot in Back Bay, and it never fails to impress. The ambiance is warm and timeless, the food is exceptional, and the service is second to none. We always request Vladdy—he’s amazing! But truly, every member of the waitstaff provides top-tier service, making every visit special. The steaks are always cooked to perfection, and the seafood is incredibly fresh. While not pictured, some of our all-time favorite dishes include the rich and flavorful French Onion Soup Au Gratin, as well as the indulgent Macaroni & Cheese and velvety whipped potatoes—absolute must-tries! Abe & Louie’s consistently delivers an unforgettable steakhouse experience, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

    Not the best steakhouse that I have eaten at. A little pricey for the food. To much salt on potato and steak for my liking. Overall a good experience and nice meal.
