(abeautifullife) Jamaican was founded in 2013. Our Culinary style draws from our Jamaican heritage with Asian & Indian influences. Using generational family recipes as our guide, we take our guests on a culinary journey with exuberant & bright flavors.

At our Second Location, (abeautifullife) Jamaican Kitchen, we have expanded our vision with farm to table ingredients which are sustainably sourced. Here, we have crafted a culinary sweet spot that reimagines modern Jamaican cuisine through a prism of playful sophistication. Curating a space where the energy of Downtown LA, and a calm Caribbean breeze collide. Loved the ambiance, music and food. Staff was helpful with suggestions and encouraged me to try the Rasta Pasta. It did not disappoint. It was a great amount of food and the flavors were the right amount of spicy without it being overwhelming. I also had a beef patty and bottomless mimosas with lavender flavor which was unexpected and delicious. Overall had a great time and I will be back.

Energetic ambiance & authentic Jamaican cuisine! Jerk wings, Oxtail Mac & Cheese, and egg roles for starters. Our table ordered family style. Service time was excellent - we placed our order without hesitation or delay.

We waited for our food over a hr. The waiter visited us once. When we finally received food it was hot on the outside cold on the inside. Over priced for what I received. Bad quality. The restaurant was too dark to even see what I was eating. 5/10 do not recommend

Absolutely horrible… way too crowded even when seated. Only had 1 waitress reservation was for 7:45pm didn’t get our food till 10:00pm. The old lady tried to make it right with kind words but overall horrible experience.. then had the nerves to charge 18% gradtuide on top

Upon arrival we were not greeted or welcomed in. The ordering became a bit confusing as we were told during ordering that certain items ran out when I feel we should of been told in advance. I ordered the jerk chicken wings which was accompanied by the rice and cabbage. While my date ordered the oxtail plate. The rice was extremely dry for both my date and I, as he had to ask for extra sauce for the rice. His oxtail plate came with 4 oxtails that looked like they were made for a toddler. The waiter did not look like he wanted to do his job but was just there. The lighting was too dark as I couldn’t read the menu as well as the font on the menu was a bit small. The whole experience and food was a 0/10 I will not be returning but I hope they take something into consideration for future customers thank you! Oh and they automatically add gratuity to your total other than that I would not have tipped!

Will not be coming back. An hour long wait for our food. All guests in the building were nearly screaming at the top of their lungs the entirety of time we were there. I understand having fun with friends but also having the restaurants music blaring throughout the room, made any normal conversation close to impossible. We appreciate the chef for all the hard work but the food lacked flavor all together and the prices were high for the food that was given. If it’s a birthday and all you want is a $55 alcohol punch bowl, hookah and what seemed to be a half time show, then this place is for you.
