   We went to this restaurant on Valentines day and were seated in the "overflow" area though we had a reservation. The food was OK but they had a Ribeye dinner on their fixed menu for the evening. The steaks that were brought out were strip steaks, not ribeyes, and were not cooked properly based on our requested doneness. In addition, they ignored us most of the time due to being put in this overflow area. When confronted about the food issues and lack of service they explained that we were accidentally seated back there. I don't know about anyone else, but I would not accept providing less than adequate service because someone doesn't have a reservation. You'd be better off turning them away. Having a reservation this just made it worse.

   Not all the food was good and with flavor as expected for the price. The site says about 30-50 dollars per person and it turned out to be 70$ a plate.

   Our visit happened on February 14. The food was delicious and the drinks were fine. The reason I gave this visit 4 stars is because of the following: 1. When I made the reservation, nowhere in the available information on Open table did it state that for that evening there was only a “preset menu”. However, the menu did have enough options to choose from. 2. Our waiter was nice and attentive and took our order right away. But he was so busy that he hardly made it back to our table. It is true that the food runners came by a couple of times. Of course, I understand it was Valentine’s Day’s. That’s why I will be back on a regular evening to enjoy an amazing meal accompanied by great service.

   An overall very good dining experience. The food came out hot and fresh, was well executed, well priced, the pasta texture was on point, and they had some really tasty cocktails. Fernando was lights out as a server. Glad we finally tried this place.

   Acqua E. Farina is one of the very best restaurants in Chula Vista. The food is delicious authentic Italian and is served in a lovely atmosphere. All the waiters are delightful and attentive. You might even be lucky enough to hear one of them singing an operatic " Happy Birthday", or "O Sole Mio." I give it my highest recommendation!

   Had dinner here on 1/31 and we opted to do the restaurant week menu. Food and service was good. My only thing is I felt rushed like they were trying to push us out the door. It was a constant do you need a box for that or are you done with that? Really?!

    My friend and I went for restaurant week, and with that menu the price was pretty solid for the food we got. Food was delicious, service was good, they were attentive and quick to rid your table of empty plates, and we were checked on regularly to see if we needed anything else. The ambiance was cozy and warm, and we will be returning again to try the main menu.
