Set amongst acres of scenic Berkshire countryside Cantley House is a popular venue for one of the most English of traditions - afternoon tea. Indulge in a fabulous choice of afternoon teas in our award winning restaurant; the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon.

For the time being we will be serving food in the Courtyard Garden so we can ensure social distancing and give everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Thank you very much for a lovely afternoon tea. The food was delicious and the service excellent. It was also really kind of you to decorate the plate of my friend who was celebrating her 50th birthday! Best wishes Fiona

Booked Afternoon tea for special occasion, I felt the staff who first greeted us weren't very experienced and showed us to a very small table by the door, when clearly there were nicer tables in the restaurant, so I asked for another one, which they did concede to. On taking our order, again the staff seemed rather inexperienced - didn't ask about tea - we had to mention it - and I'd say the sandwiches were very mediocre. Probably wouldn't go back again for afternoon tea, but for a proper meal next time.

I just love all things about Cantley House Hotel. The staff are so accommodating and no request is too much. I don’t have any specific dietary requirements but I am fussy with what I like but they don’t bat an eyelid and are happy to make swaps for me. It’s my favourite place to go for afternoon tea. I’ll certainly be back again 👌🏻

Delicious & well presented food, really friendly and professional service, coffee and tea were refilled + jugs of water. Would definitely recommend.

Disappointed. The sandwiches were dry. The cakes were all beige and tasted the same. The scones were freshly baked and still warm. All served with award winning Birchall tea - unless you want a refill then you Tetley tea bags…. We also asked if they would do something a bit special as it was for one of the guests 50th birthday to which the waitress said of course we can do a separate cake with happy birthday on the side but it never arrived!!!

Excellent service with a very attentive waiter. Food was outstanding and presented beautifully. We were well looked after and looking forward to returning.
