Eat your way through the twists and turns of Shakespeare's ethereal romantic comedy with our Midsummer Night’s Dream afternoon tea.
Our Midsummer Night’s Dream Afternoon Tea includes a Wild mushroom & leek quiche,a rose infused raspberry mousse & lemon cake and mulberry scones served with clotted cream and seasonal berry jam. Or, if you have a more savoury tooth, our Gentleman’s afternoon tea is made up of tempting treats such as our Legbar Scotch Egg, Blue cheese and cider scones, beef sliders and potted smoked salmon.
For those seeking a more indulgent afternoon, a tipsy tea option is available. Our Love Potion cocktail is a magical mix of Earl Grey infused gin, honey from the London Honey Co, blackberry puree and prosecco, topped with fresh blackberries. Non-alcoholic options will include a range of Novus loose leaf teas, such as Lemon Verbenna.
The tea is served on bespoke crockery, featuring beautiful line drawings by illustrator Annika Wester, which mimic the themes of the play.

We arrived early and, on a whim, asked the hostess if we could be seated and were pleasantly surprised to learn it was possible. Service was excellent as was the food. It was the perfect ending to our Globe Theatre tour. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant did not honor our reservation on OpenTable. We were turned away and I was told that I needed to phone in if we wanted a reservation next time.

Afternoon tea savoury items were great, the scones were lovely but the sweets were just surgery with little ‘flavours’ Sadly, the service was terrible. Everyone was nice and professional, but we were ultimately ignored the whole time. I can guarantee that if the staff had actually asked if we fancied more drinks or cleared the table before we asked for the bill 3 hours into the booking....we would have spent at least 50% more then we did.

Visiting London for the first time in 15 years, we wanted to enjoy tea with good food and ambience. This was a perfect experience. I had the Gentlemen’s Breakfast and my wife and daughter had the regular Midsummer’s Night Tea. They were both so good. The theming is also very night. It isn’t cheap but none of the teas of this sort are. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

This was the fourth time me and my mom went for Afternoon Tea at the Swan. As always it was amazing. You get an wonderful view on the Thames while enjoying the lovely bites. We are vegetarian so they made special sandwiches for us. To make everything complete my mother got a special plate with extra macarons with on it Happy Birthday, because they knew it was her birthday. I already know that when we go next year to London we will enjoy another Afternoon tea at the Swan.
