For £30 I expected the food to be a lot better. It was ok, but not great. Sandwiches had very minimal filling and bread dried out really quickly. When I asked for 1 extra mini scone, I was brought 4 and charged an additional £11 for a cream tea without being told there was an additional cost. It’s a typical hotel lobby restaurant so there’s no atmosphere to speak of. I wouldn’t go again or recommend it, but it was a convenient location on the day.

Service was exquisite. You really feel pampered by the very caring staff members. Food is great value too. And it's quiet and cozy. I would definitely recommend it.

The hotel was lovely, the sandwiches were very dry, other than that it was ok!

Food was average, casual afternoon tea but service was quite good, friendly and looked after us well. We asked them to refill hot water into tea pots several times but they weren’t reluctant to do (actually lots of waiters/waitresses are when I ask) or even they frequently (I mean just right timings!) asked us if everything was ok topping it up very quickly, changing tea leaves as well albeit this price range. I’ve been to almost all of high end afternoon places in London, not just once, at least few times at each hotels, sometimes (quite often?) I have to wait for long time to just order/ask and even longer to get what I want especially at popular luxury places... and some of them rush us to leave tables with bills before we ask although we normally pay more than double than here. To be honest, atmosphere was very casual but really quiet and comfortable to have conversation with my friend, which is also what I liked. Not that elegant or high end style afternoon tea but as a casual catching up place with close or female friends having tea and cakes for long time to have chat comfortably, this place would be very nice! Good value too!

We arrived after having booked the day before. Our booking was not in the system, so we would have had to wait for more than 30 minutes because the kitchen was not ready to accommodate our visit. We left without having tea. Not impressed

One portion of clotted cream smelled sour & had to be changed. Some of the bread was stale (sandwiches). Very little atmosphere because there were not many people there. Not s very stylish dining room - very casual. No tablecloths. Definitely would not recommend it. Not very good value for money.

Enjoyed getting together with family over tea. Cakes were good but sandwiches could have been better. Nevertheless well worth the visit.
