I treated a party of 4 for afternoon tea a few days before Christmas as a Christmas gift and was extremely disappointed with the whole experience. One of the party had an allergy. We were not asked about allergies on arrival. We informed the waitress about the allergen, yet we were still given food containing it. We told the waitress about the error and she disagreed that the allergen was in the food and eventually reluctantly took one item of the order back to the kitchen after we asked her to examine it, as it was clearly contaminated. She then returned and apologised stating that the chef initially had told her that the allergen was not present in the food. She replaced the one contaminated item. None of the other food items contaminated were offered to be replaced, so were left uneaten. It was too much effort to get anyone attention and to raise another issue, so we didn’t bother..The room we were dining in was poorly staffed. We had to try and get the waitresses attention for drinks etc each time, not what you would expect for afternoon tea, especially as coffee is served per cup. The room was cold, the chairs uncomfortable and the food was at best just average. Very worrying level of service around lack of concern regarding allergens. The two staff that served us seemed pleasant but sadly not well trained and were clearly given too much to do. £156 not well spent. After complaining via email we were offered the chance to pay to return again in order to have a better experience! I will definitely not return and regretted not booking the merchant hotel for afternoon tea instead.

Slightly disappointing experience for afternoon tea at the Titanic today. The sandwiches were very underwhelming for a festive afternoon tea. One small ham sandwich and egg sandwich- maybe a turkey, ham and cranberry and stuffing sandwich for Christmas would have been nice. The soup was delicious- could have had a double portion. The scones were lovely too. The service was good by Matthew and unlimited teas/coffee was welcome. I just think overall more savoury items and fancier sandwiches are required in this afternoon tea and would have made it even better.

Setting WOW! Outlooking the titanic building. Piano playing in the background. Our waitress Nicole looked after us so well from start to finish. What a wonderful welcome to the hotel. Her colleague - possibly called Jessica was also brilliant working on 08.12.2024. Thank you!

Service was amazing, our server was very friendly and attentive. I was a bit disappointed by the presentation of the afternoon tea, I booked it specifically because it was supposed to be Halloween themed and the only thing I would class as being Halloween themed were the eyes on the macaroons. I booked this based on pictures on your instagram which showed chocolate spider webs which we didn’t get. The food was nice though but just wish presentation had been better to make it look more Halloween themed.
