   My husband and I came to Notch8's for their Autumn Afternoon Tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The ambiance, service and food were excellent. The moment we checked-in the front desk congratulated us on our anniversary, and so did our wonderful server. We were treated to a special anniversary dessert (not on menu) and complementary glasses of prosecco to toast with. The tea room was well decorated with an Autumn theme throughout, we are always impressed by what an amazing job they do. We had a fall wedding so this was the perfect setting for us. The menu was great with sweets and savoury options, it was hard to choose between the many great options for tea, we loved the ones we had. Overall a wonderful experience every time we come to Notch8 for tea, brunch or any special occasion.

   We were the only ones having high tea so it was quiet. The room was beautiful. Our waiter was very nice and we had very good service. It was nice for my friend to get a piece of cheesecake with a candle lit for her birthday. The food was a disappointment. The flavor of the sandwiches were good especially the roasted turkey but bread for all of them was stale (dry). Tasted like it had the bread had been sitting out exposed all day. We were the 3 pm seating but for high tea at the Fairmont it shouldn’t matter which seating we pick. We expect fresh sandwiches. For a top hotel famous for the high tea we were disappointed especially for $72 per person.

   Delicious treats served in a cute tiered dish…all in manageable portions… we couldn’t finish it all so were given a takeaway box. Now my family wants to go next time after having sampled leftovers.

   The experience of the ambience and overall tea time is great, but what really made our afternoon truly memorable was Estella. She had the warmest smile, and provided a detailed oriented service anticipating every need. She was so sweet and made sure we enjoyed every part of the tea experience. Shot out to her!

   Be prepared for a cheap take away box to be dropped beside your full plate mid conversation at exactly 1 hr 15 min in to your experience, at the same time the waiter asking how you would like to pay.. took an elegant experience and flushed it down the toilet. Over the next 15 min the waiters rushed around dropping things and making noise to set up next seating.

   Beautiful and secret setting... wonderful experience with my friends. Loved the decor and the setting. Just would of preferred a more savory selection that sweets. Instead of the 2 scones each person, 1 would of been sufficient and and extra savory would of done the trick. Overall, a must do if you love the High tea experience. The teas were all fantastic and hard to choose.

    Yesterday, my partner and I celebrated our 16th Anniversary @ Notch 8 Afternoon High Tea. We are regulars there, absolutely enjoy the ambiance, the service, the food and their fabulous choice of themes - it's always a pleasure what the Team comes up with- so creative, sometimes mystical and always delightful ! The Team goes over and above our expectations every time - they even prepared a dessert plate specifically for us as we were celebrating our Anniversary.
