   Menu is different than Aspen location. No thin, crispy truffle fries.. Food was fine. I dont think I'll be heading back to this location any time soon.

   Greetings Amy, We apologize that our menu did not meet your expectations. While Ajax Tavern in Aspen has an amazing reputation & following, Ajax Downtown is not an Ajax Tavern, but rather a metro-based sister concept. We absolutely love their truffle fries too and get them every time we are in the mountains. We do offer our Potato Pave, which is a reimagining of AT's famous truffle fries. If you are ever curious about our rendition, we'd love for you to try it! Rest assured, Ajax Tavern's truffle fries are there to stay, and you can get them anytime you're visiting Aspen. We do change our menu Micro-seasonally, so perhaps you'd be able to find a new favorite dish as we enter late Winter and Spring of 2025. Regardless, thank you for giving us a try, and we'd love to have you back.

   First time eating here and our table of 9 have some highs (mostly) and lows. The drink at the bar pre-meal was great, and our appetizers, most meals, and desserts were top notch. Great portions and flavors across the board. Really the only downside of the night was my ribeye. It was really a pretty bad piece of meat. Tons of grissle, no tenderness, perhaps oversalted. It was super disappointing. But my other guests really enjoyed their halibut, chicken, and duck. All in all, this was a very nice dinner -- just a big miss on the steak. Service was also solid.

   Wonderful date night dinner. Recommendations by Karen (server) were spot on and delicious. The atmosphere was pleasent, quiet enough to enjoy a conservation, but not feeling like we were in the conservation with the table next to us. We will go back. Top dinner pics: Beast Of Bourbon drink, Ember Roasted Wild Mushroom, 12 oz Ribeye.

   Went for a birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and overall ambiance. Delicious over fire cooking for pork chops and mussels in curry broth. The sourdough bread was special and the roasted mushrooms delish. Cocktails and wine by the glass were reasonably priced. Service was attentive and friendly. A great night overall.

   We had a table of 6. The sourdough bread appetizer was very good but small (size of a large biscuit). But not worth $17 for the amount you get. Duck breast was the best amongst our meal’s, but was a small portion. 1/2 chicken was dry. Porkchop had little to no flavor. Mussels, halibut and short rib cannelloni were average but nothing to call home about. Overall, as a group we were disappointed for the food quality for the price we paid. Atmosphere and servers were great.
