We had a wonderful evening at Al Sufra. The menu is very extensive and the dishes themselves are authentically oriental. I had made a selection myself, but then decided to order a different dish based on the restaurant manager's recommendation and was very happy with it afterwards. The atmosphere was also very positive and appealing. However, the perfect service deserves special mention. From the moment we entered Al Sufra to the moment we left, we felt like we were visiting friends. The entire team was very competent, very attentive and extremely friendly.

We came as refugees from another restaurant elsewhere, and were very lucky to end up here. Beautiful hotel and restaurant and great food. Our wine choice sold out, and they went out of their way to find something else suitable, to the extent of picking it up from a different venue. Highly recommended. A special shout out to Parker, who kept an eye on everything and really made us feel special. It surely cannot be long before he runs the hotel, if they manage to hold on to him that is. This is not learned talent, it is inherent.

Food was good but service was poor and error strewn. Restaurant was quiet but long wait to be offered drinks, order taken but not check back. Order arrived was wrong. Drinks arrived after food. End of meal charged for what was ordered not what was delivered so order must have been taken correctly but delivered wrong. No napkins in table setting and none provided Plates partly cleared after main course but others left followed by 20+ minutes before next saw any waiting staff. Cut our losses are left without dessert. Hopefully it was just staff having a bad night. Well below what expected of a Kempinski hotel restaurant and a real shame as the food we did receive and eat was good and staff were friendly just disorganised and without leadership.

Having booked an outside table for 2 at this upmarket restaurant for my wife's Birthday and so looking forward to the evening, we were greeted by front of house to be told that it was a Buffet that evening and not an A la Carte menu. Asked if we had been informed about the buffet when booking, very sadly we had not. Very disappointing. However the gentleman did say that he would organise for us to have an al a carte menu. We were then escorted outside where we were told to sit where we liked, and when we sat at a table for 4(which was all that was available with no table setting on it) we were then told by a waitress that that table was belong to another restaurant and we could sit inside. Food was delicious, waiter was extremly helpful, however, evening was destroyed by what went on above This is totally unacceptable from a Hotel of this level especially when the restaurant came so highly recommended

The food was very nice, it was buffet style on this ocassion. The one thing that let the meal down was the service, the staff were attentive for the first 5 minutes, then they did not replenish water without us asking, we had to ask for the plates to be taken away and for new cutlery. To say it’s a premium hotel, they need to retrain their staff in this restaurant. The chefs were attentive and the food was to a high standard and replenished and displayed nicely.
