   We called ahead several days in advance to let the restaurant know my husband is celiac and cannot have gluten. It was a pre fixe menu so we wanted to be sure to give them plenty of time. They said they were happy to accommodate. The way they accommodated though was to just leave off whatever had gluten - they didn’t offer alternatives. Most of the meal was gluten free but the dessert was a real let down. It was valentines and the meal was not cheap. I was given a cake with a sauce. My husband received a plate of the sauce. They didn’t make any effort to offer him something else. I honestly would be embarrassed as a chef or waitress to give that to a guest. Even if they had served blue bell with the sauce of fruit - something. It would have taken minimal effort to make him feel accommodated rather than just “well here’s what we have.” Breakfast was the same. I received sausage and a muffin and they gave him no alternatives. Like just serve him som extra fruit or perhaps buy a package of gluten free bacon? This is a very nice establishment and this could have definitely been handled better.

   We love the upstairs lounge/ bar area. It gives the ambience of a VIP or speakeasy space. It's perfect for a cozy date night. Food is always great! We have yet to be disappointed. Reservations are a must!

   Our dinner at Alexander’s was so lovely. Our server Mark was amazing and really made our evening a dining experience. The food was phenomenal!!

   The travel to the restaurant was easy to get to. The city of Saldo was like traveling to 19th century rural Texas with the lights and sounds being inspirational. The food was better than expected, and the ambiance was perfect. Third floor, a balcony and fireplace on a cool nighttime environment. My daughter had two of their signature drinks and was raving about how good the flavors were. I had the lamb, and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The prices were high due to inflation, and we plan to make this restaurant a staple in our go-to places.

   My friends had the lamb and it was excellent they said. I had the filet and it was just as good as always. We eat here every time we come to Salado (3-4 times a year). My husband had the halibut and enjoyed it. Our server was Amy (from Australia) and what a professional she is!! We loved talking to her and hearing how each dish was prepared. Amy is a credit to the restaurant. We always enjoy our dinner at Alexander's.

   Service and dishes were superb........enjoyed our gathering with our good 👍 friend on a remembrance dinner for the birthday of my sister who passed away 9 years ago 😢❤️! It's a place we continue to go to and it never disappoints!

   The service was fantastic! Perfect setting for a relaxing evening out. The cocktails were beautifully presented along with the meal! Definitely a hidden gem!

    Nice ambiance, great service, good cocktails and wine list, interesting menu. Food preparation and presentation was below expectations, especially considering price.
