   came to claim a reservation. we were shown to a table by the open door; we rejected it snd pointed at a vacant table farther away. host told us it was reserved. we pointed out we had a reservation. we were forced to stand at the open door until she had sat other patrons and conferred with the manager; she then gave us the table. the main courses arrived as we were eating our appetizers and the busser did not help rearranging the table. after all that, the food was meh and the price was too high for that quality.

I realize that it can be frustrating to make a reservation and not be satisfied with the table assigned but my team did their best to accommodate you and your guest. You indicated your desire to sit at a larger table on the corner, which was reserved for a party of 3 who had recently lost their Father and requested that specific corner table for privacy. The Hostess worked with the manager to contact that party and have them arrive after your meal. We apologize for having you wait while that took place but we did our best to provide the best service to you and our other guests on a very busy Saturday night.    The BLT sandwich with salad greens and French onion soup was perfect on a wintry day. We were celebrating a big birthday and didn’t feel rushed by our lovely server whose name begins with G..thank you!

   Our dinner experience was awful. How can you go wrong with Burgers ? Yet , it did . Expensive to boot ! Very disappointing !

   Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, Munir. I know that the Carbonara wasn't to your liking since you requested it be made without pancetta and the dish doesn't come together without that key ingredient. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy the burgers either but hopefully the rest of your meal was enjoyable and the burgers tasted better the next day as you took them home.    Reservations were for brunch. Mimosas were small but good. Server was excellent. Favorite place on Mercer Island to take friends and family!

   We enjoyed the chicken liver pate, and the onion soup was as good as we've had anywhere - recommend trying them both. And then, couldn't pass up the scallops again - excellent. Warm, friendly, service as always.

   I recently visited Allister for dinner with my family, and to say I was blown away is an understatement. Everything from the food to the service was impeccable. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess and shown to our seats. Our server was delightful, personable, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Then the food, oh my goodness. It was outstanding! My cousin, who considers himself a food connoisseur, ordered the carbonara and loved it. We also had the scallops and cucumber salad. For dessert, we had the date and molasses cake, and if you take anything from this review, I beg you to try the cake. It blew my mind. I found myself scraping the sauce off the plate with a fork and fighting my cousin for the last bite. Lastly, I want to touch on the overall atmosphere of Allister. It has a sophisticated and elegant vibe mixed with a close-knit community feel, making it perfect for a date night with your partner, a night out with friends, or a larger gathering. If you live in the area, stop by now. If Mercer Island is a drive for you, plan your visit soon! Allister is truly a diamond waiting to be found.

    Another outstanding experience at Allister. The food is fantastic, service friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is simply great. Highly recommend it!!
