   Fantastic meal. This is my go to restaurant in Vail, love the food, ambience, service and uniqueness about this place. Had the cheese fondue starter, delish, shared with my husband. Pork shank is a carnivore's delight! Perfectly cooked. With the sauerkraut, potato and mustard, the taste just popped. My husband had the short beef rib. Beautifully cooked, though value for money I felt the shank was better. Then the apple strudel served with a vanilla creme as to die for. I liked that it was not overly sweet but had all the classic flavors you would expect from a strudel. All beautifully presented. Not rushed and server was attentive at all times. Will definitely be returning when we next visit Vail.

   We have been coming to Almresi for 4 years, it is about fav in Vail. Very vibrant staff, great food, buzzing atmosphere, super friendly! We will keep coming back every time in Vail.

   One member of our party has food allergy (gluten/dairy)and was unable to find anything to eat other than tomato soup. The meat fondue broth is made with dairy and all foods on the menu cannot be amended in any way. We had to leave. Do not go there if you have a gluten or dairy allergy

    This is a small and crowded space. You might experience it as cozy but for us we were seated right next to the bar. The apres ski was rolling with the bar 2 people deep. And someone brought their dog. I saw a staff member petting the dog. This area was also a busy walkway for staff. Samuel was our very friendly waiter. Food was find. I think if seated in another area, we would have enjoyed the atmosphere more. I recommend asking for a table away from the bar.
