Second time at Alora and we tried the Sunday roast. Was the best roast we have ever had. Great value for money and good quantity. Lovely service and made to feel very special (on my birthday). Will definitely be visiting again soon

This was the first time we went to Alora. The service was extremely good and my wife requires Gluten Free food and the staff were really helpful in this regard. We had only had Tapas in Spain previously, where we knew what to expect on portion sizes. We found the Alora portions too large (for example - if you had ordered two portions of different choices). Now we know what to expect, we would order a variety to share around the table and unless you are ravenous, I would say 6 portions are sufficient for 4 people. The food was really tasty and well cooked. We will return - it is a nice restaurant with something a little different.

First time at Alora, heard a lot and it’s local The decor etc is very nice and a nice ambience, the food was nice although a little on the expensive side for the portion sizes, I appreciate its tapas and small plates but I’ve been to several tapas places where the portions are much bigger, very nice well presented food though on the whole but just a little pricey, wouldn’t be somewhere I would go to regularly

Good food but the service when we wanted to Pay our bill was quite slow as the staff seemed to busy chatting to each other.

A lovely addition to Mapperley. Great food and quick polite service given by all staff. A bit pricey, but then good tapas is nowadays..... but the food was delicious and worth that bit extra.

I’d been before and it was amazing. This was my second visit and not as good. Service was slow and our table was booked for 8.30pm and on ordering we were told the kitchen closes at 9pm. We wanted to have a slow dinner & just felt a bit rushed. The pork was dry & chewy (which it wasn’t on my first visit) It was okay and I like that Mapperley Top has this kind of restaurant but it wasn’t as good as my first visit so just a shame!
