   First time at this restaurant and we were very impressed. The atmosphere is great for going with friends and date night. We sat upstairs and overlooked the restaurant. Food was excellent and good choices. The staff as mentioned in other posts is top notch. Shout out to Fehmi the manager as he is very attentive to his patrons and makes sure you are enjoying yourself. We will definitely be back and refer to friends.

   It's a nice restaurant - expected as it's located within a hotel. The customer service was ... alright, nothing spectacular and the waiter seemed like he was waiting for his shift to be over. Understandable as it was Valentine day but still wasn't a pleasant experience. Prices are steep, as expected for this kind of restaurant. However, the food was extremely below average, everything we ordered was basically a miss. French onion soup was too sweet. Nice salad was tiny with barely any vegetables, good amount of tuna though - but they were rather bland. The steak frites was alright, cooked well, however lacked seasoning and flavour. Saving grace was definitely the fries which were good. We also got the truffle pasta and they don't skimp on the truffle (or more likely, truffle oil) - aroma was nice but again, extremely bland and tasteless. If the price was half of what it was, I think I'd still be unsatisfied with the meal. Shame because my partner and I was missing the food we had in Nice/Paris, and thought it'd be nice to relive it here. But we left extremely disappointed, perhaps a bit salty about the price to food quality as well.

   Our server Wanita is the best. She takes care of us with exceptional service and her warmth and kind makes the birthday lunch even more special. The food from dine out vancouver is tasty and good quality. Definitely will go back for more. ❤️❤️❤️

   As we were staying at the hotel where this restaurant is - we had brunch there as well as an amazing dinner. Both meals were great. The eggs benedict with the hollandaise sauce was perfect. Now dinner - The serving staff were run off their feet as it was a busy Saturday evening, but I did not feel like so while we were dining - so professional and kind. The dining flow was comfortable - we had our cocktails, appetizers arrived, ordered wine and then served dinner. The tables are a good distance apart so you don't feel like you are bumping into others. We will definitely be back.

   We visited for the Dine Out Vancouver Festival dinner menu and had an overall great experience. - Good food with good portions. Despite the dine out menu being prepared in higher volumes, we had a view into the kitchen and could see the kitchen team preparing and plating them with a high attention to detail. - Good cocktails - Great, prompt service - Nice ambiance. We sat on the second floor overlooking the main dining room.

    Service was very good - attentive; Nice to have the valet service. The Beef Bourguignon: beef was tender, but without sauce or vegetables.... ie. not served like a typical B.B. The salad had a lot of variety, but dressing was too light in amount & taste. The dessert (mousse) was okay in taste in texture, but without flair. This was the first time at Alouette Bistro... when we saw the decor and first experienced the service, we had high hopes for the food & wine. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We wonder if the Dine Out Menu was supposed to be a reflection of the "typical" Alouette Bistro menu.
