Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Cucina & Mercato - Downtown Atlanta is a traditional Neapolitan trattoria centered around an open kitchen featuring a 6,000 pound wood-burning brick oven imported from Italy. The 170 seat dining room also has large semicircular booths, custom wrought iron chandeliers along with Juliet balconies overlooking an Italian-inspired entryway. Originating in and the true pizza of Naples in the 1600s, Vera Pizza Napoletana is 12 inches or less in size, made from simple fresh quality ingredients from the Campania region of Italy and cooked at temperatures in excess of 900 degrees in approximately 60 seconds. Just launched, a new menu which includes many fresh pastas, salads, appetizers and desserts, including beautiful imported gelato. Enjoy a full bar with local beer on tap, exclusive wine list and specialty cocktails in beautiful Downtown Atlanta.

We made reservations but were running late due to our show going over and when we arrived, our table still wasn't set up. The restaurant claims to be a trattoria, which should make all pasta in house, but the Bolognese looked straight out of a Chef Boyardee can and the Alfredo sauce was anything but Alfredo. Our server also asked for a cash tip which is highly unprofessional. The website is incredibly misleading for the experience given. We thought we were going to a genuine trattoria but experienced a grossly Americanized and adulterated version of Italian food.

Food and everything was good. I’d recommend the lobster raviolis or shrimp pasta!

I wanted to love this please ... but I didn't. The food had no taste. I couldn't eat my veal because it was chewy and raw in spots. It was expensive for what you had. And to top it off our server was not pleasant at all. We are easy people to serve and tip well. It really doesn't take much to make us happy. I have never not loved an Italian restaurant, but this one we will not be going back to.

The combination of beautiful ambiance, amazing food, and reasonable prices has made this my favorite Italian place ever. I will never make another trip to ATL without making sure I stop in.

Understaffed however the staff was nice polite and accommodating. Calamari was over cooked and There was no espresso at r cappuccino, obviously someone didn’t want to clean the machine. Pizza was decent and server was very nice. Coffee was ice cold and I asked for it to be removed from the bill. Overall it was decent and acceptable for a medium dinner.

This has been 1 of our "go to " places lately when we visit Atlanta. Pasta is delicious! Atmosphere is great! We've had the chicken piccata, lobster ravioli, and caprese salad. Portions are good. The location has worked great for us when going to events at State Farm arena - about a 10min walk.

We were seated in an exceptionally dark table despite numerous open tables that were lit. We could barely read the menu and even the waitstaff tried to laugh it off and offered us a flashlight. Our primary waitress was very distracted and honestly we couldn’t tell if she was new, or just simply unskilled. She tried to take our order as soon as we sat down, but then failed to return for more than 20. We gave our drink order and literally had to repeat it after she wrote it down because she couldn’t remember what we said. The neighboring table got our drinks. The food was bland, at best. The sauce had zero flavor and overburdened the chicken parmigiana. Also, this is the only Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to that bread wasn’t included - it’s literally a $5 charge for bread and oil. Now, the waitress did tell us this when she asked us if wanted bread, albeit after our main course was delivered and half eaten. And, don’t worry, the bread arrived at the conclusion of our main courses. All in all, the time has passed this restaurant by and it needs a refresh from the menu to the service and everything in between.

Food is truly tasteless . Another downtown Atlanta disappointing restaurant , we truly wanted this to be good but sadly it’s not.
