Kristen, Kristin? Our server was amazing. Knowledgeable and great table presence. All of the food was just incredible and the wine was exceptional. Loved the playlist, good fun vibes even my 62yo white mom liked the music I will say the patacones were a bit dense and underwhelming

Amazing. 10/10. Food was so flavorful. Kristen, our waitress, was incredible. She offered suggestions on the menu and did not lead us astray. Food, cocktails, service, and ambiance were top class. Will definitely be back. Thank you for making our anniversary special. Cheers!

I my choices on the cibechi wasn't it. They were both cold food and I am more of a hot meal type. Otherwise great potential and great service.

Hi Damilola, Thank you for giving us a try. So sorry you were caught off guard by the cold cebiche, it's a traditional cold fish dish with cold citrus leche de tigre. We'd love to have you back and show you other offerings off the hot side of our kitchen.

The food is good, but not great. As with many restaurants in DC, prices have gotten out of hand. Lots of small portions, but great flavors. It is a unique offering for DC, but not one I’ll go back to. One and done for us.

Hello Dean, thank you for your feedback. we appreciate your coming out and giving us a try and sorry we didn't quite hit the mark in what you had hoped for. Our menu does offer a variety of smaller social bites as well as larger plates, and not to leave out our Japanese fish market thats brought in 5 days a week. Much of what we offer uses several imported products and understand that some prices will reflect that choice for quality and authenticity. We'd love to have you back and give you a tour if you like to see what really goes into making amazing Peruvian cuisine in DC. I'll send you our email privately.

I went early on a Saturday evening and sat at the bar. The bartender was not friendly and kept trying to take my drink away when I was still drinking it. Perhaps sitting at a table the service would be better but I was not impressed given the cost of the drinks.

First time trying Amazonia. I really enjoy Peruvian food and this place didn't disappoint. the skewers, the small plates, and even the entrees were all good in their own way. With that said, they were good, nothing really wowed me. The skewers were good, especially the fish and the filet mignon. However, I wasn't a fan of the seasoning on the fish and the beef was too tough for medium well/rare (we tried both). The entree, Lomo Saltado was better. Loved the blend of the flavors with the fresh veggies. However, for wagyu, it didn't seem like wagyu, quality. With all that said, the chocolate cake dessert did wow me. And it was amazing with the ice cream that it was coupled with. The drink selection was unique, I stuck to tequila and mezcal, which was light and refreshing. The service was really good, we had 2 servers taking care of us. They provided recommendations, their favorites, and accommodations, and were genuinely nice (which is a big problem in the city, servers can be jerks). I couldn't get the vibe of the place. It was definitely amazon jungle focused. But I couldn't tell if it was more trend cocktail or if it was more of a full meal place. It depended on where you were seated I guess. With that the noise level was medium, but the bad bunny tunes were worth it.
