    In keeping with the spirit of Lady Amber Fitzwilliam, whose famous Thursday Club ran for many years at the hotel, we offer relaxed entertainment in the luxurious setting of Amber’s restaurant every Thursday night. Sample delicious food and an elegant drinks menu to a backdrop of live acoustic music from a handful of carefully chosen local artists. £30 per head for 2 courses or upgrade to 3 course for an additional £7.50 per head. Friends of Amber's are welcome to use their 20% discount. Live music between 6.30pm and 7.15pm & 7.45pm and 8.30pm

    Beautiful setting, and attentive staff. Let down by the menu, the lack of availability of menu items (we sat for dinner at 6pm and they had run out of some foods). Also, serving a cheeseboard with a standard table knife just isn’t up to the standard expected.

    This was our third visit for Sunday lunch and it was excellent. Two of us had the pate and the terrine starters, very nice but why not provide enough toast to spread them on, one more each would be perfect? Three of us had different roasts that came with a variety of vegetables. It was recommended by the lovely waitress that we order a couple of extra portions of veg as not very generous, glad we did. Didn't have desserts on this occasion but they looked tempting. We got our friends 20% discount which is great, they should ask before producing the bill as it had to be redone . We will be back soon.

    Five star Sunday lunch at Ambers. We think this is the best Sunday lunch in the area. Fabulous. Great location and good value for money. The chef is trying very hard and delivering well. Good service from nice staff who care.

    I think Ambers Sunday Lunch is excellent. We always enjoy the roast dinner, particularly the nut roast which I always have and which is very good. Myself and my husband (and our guests) really recommend this. The service is excellent and I believe the meal is good value for money.
