We visited this restaurant on 01/12/2024. Having been a regular at their Marlborough Street branch, I noticed a significant difference in the food quality and overall experience, possibly due to a new menu launched with the opening of this branch. Food: 1.Chicken 65 (Starter): It was nice but lacked the signature curry leaves present in the original version at the Marlborough Street branch. Despite the difference, it tasted nice. Onions served on the side were really bitter. Masala Dosa (Main): The dosa itself was fine, but it was disappointing that one of the red chutneys is no longer served. Hyderabadi Dum Biryani: This used to be incredibly flavorful in their other branch, but this time it lacked the depth and tasted more like pulao. Our friends used Kadai curry gravy to make the rice more edible in taste. Chicken Kadai Curry: This was the most disappointing dish of the night. The portion size was halved compared to the Marlborough Street branch, which is underwhelming for a €20 main dish. The taste had also changed drastically, leaning towards sweetness and featuring bell peppers, which was a surprising and unwelcome departure from the spicy and rich flavors it used to have. It wasnt even enough serving for a single person. Biryani 65: Given the small portion of the Chicken Kadai, we ordered this to supplement our meal. Thankfully, it was flavorful and spicy, with the chicken complementing the rice well. Tea: Unfortunately, the tea was a major letdown. It had an overcooked taste, overly sweetened with tea whiteners. No one in our group could finish it. Overall Experience: While I have always enjoyed the Marlborough Street branch, this visit to the Abbey Street location was underwhelming. The food quality, portion sizes, and service did not meet expectations, and the loud atmosphere added to the discomfort. I won’t be returning to this branch, but I’ll definitely revisit Marlborough Street, as it has consistently provided great experiences.

Wonderful South Indian food. Lots of choice and plenty of options for vegetarians and coeliacs. Allergens clearly marked on the menu.

The food and service was so good, we went back twice during our stay in Dublin. I would almost consider coming back just for the food and people. A real culinary highlight of the city, this is where to go for real authentic Indian food.

Amazing food, lovely ambiance. Area of development includes Service Levels ( a bit too hurried) and Choice of Songs ( can include ghazals for instance)

Great atmosphere and clearly popular authentic restaurant. Maybe I didn’t order well but the Veg Thali wasn’t very good. Perhaps more authentic than my Irish palate is used to. We had a smiley and gracious server.

Some of the food was really delicious and great but not all. Recommend the paani puri and samosa chaat though, was brilliant. One of the tastiest sambhar in Dublin I think. How ever a couple of the maincourse items were alright and not as great as I was expecting them to be. It was quite cold inside the restaurant and that was the most uncomfortable part of the evening and we were almost feeling like it would be better to get done and leave as soon as we can so that we could keep moving. Decor was lovely and the mango lassi was delicious. The food was quite spicy for my Irish friend and during taking the order maybe they should ask for spice levels. Little details were missing in the experience. The dosas looked amazing on the neighbouring tables so Will come back again to try those.

Delicious food. Colourful, flavourful. Amazing starters, dosas, chaat, worth getting several and sharing. Great service. Will definitely be back.
