    A lovely warm welcome from the bar staff, great knowledge of wine when asked a question, restaurant is comfortable and really decorated lovely for Christmas. We were not rushed when placing our orders, and food was delicious. Only couple of things to highlight, we ordered a curry but they had no mango chutney and ordered a dessert that came with coconut ice cream, but the ice cream had not been delivered. We will definitely be returning x

    A new landlady with a lovely personality. There weren't many people eating the weekday evening we went so it lacked atmosphere. There were 4 of us, the food was good but it wasn't consistent across all 4 plates. We would eat here again.

    Atmosphere - nice. Staff - welcoming, friendly, helpful. Food - poor. Pork - no meat, just fat. Cauliflower cheese - all root, no cauliflower. Parsnip - soggy and cold. Yorkshire pudding - soggy and cold. Mushroom frittata - stodgy and cold. Roast potatoes, carrots, cabbage - all cold. Such a shame because it all looked very nice, but what a waste of money! Will we be back? No thank you

    Fish and chips was tiny and overcooked.Fishcake slimy and tasteless. The starter of chicken strips were chunks deep fried and overcooked. Ordered a bottle of Red wine which was stone cold and when I asked the server she said all the red wine comes from the Cellar,they do not store the wine on the Bar Shelf. I tried to educate the server but to know avail. There was no one in charge in the Bar. Absolutely awful. I am local and eat out in the Village every week. For the forth time in 3 years Punch Taverns have changed the Management with the standards dropping every time it will be another year before I go back……….NEW MANAGEMENT AGAIN
