Had 6:45 reservations on a Friday nite…only 3 parties in the entire restaurant. The space is nice (ground floor of AC Hotel) but everything else was lacking…food was just fair, nothing exceptional…pass on the Calamari…awful. Service was pitiful…out of stock on several drink & food requests…server was nice enough but seemed like he would rather be somewhere else. No plans to try again…too many other reliable options downtown Raleigh.

The menu has a nice variety - there is basically something for everyone. I had Chicken Parmigiana, my wife had Chicken Marsala. I got linguini with marinara sauce as my side, my wife got the green beans. The chicken for both of us was good, but for the parmigiana the cheese was not fully melted and the chicken was not served hot. My wife's chicken marsala was also not hot - just warm. The pasta side I had was also warm and got cold before I finished it. My wife's green bean side was ok, but it came with onions and tomatoes mixed in (that was not specified when she ordered it). We both ordered wine - it was a little on the pricey side ($14 for one glass, $16 for the other), but overall they had a very wide selection of wines to pair with whatever you order. Overall the food was good but not great. The portion size was fine. The service also was good - no complaints about our waiter or the helpers. One minor complaint: we went were celebrating our anniversary and listed that on the reservation (they asked). We normally don't care about milestones being recognized, but another party was celebrating a birthday and received a cake and all the waiters singing to the birthday girl. We didn't even get a mention or a complimentary desert. This is a good restaurant for a casual dinner if you are staying at the Aloft hotel, but for the price you can find a better Italian meal at other restaurants in Raleigh.

A real disappointment. We knew it was pricey going into it, but for the quality of the food and service, I would not recommend this restaurant for so many reasons: - it smelled like fresh paint and had loud 80’s music playing - service was odd and slow - water glasses were dirty - “homemade pasta” was 100% not homemade and honestly tasted gummy and terrible. I even asked if it was homemade and was assured it was. Good luck getting parm cheese or pepper. - the $35 charcuterie board had deli turkey and a few slices of provolone, prosciutto and salami. And I literally mean 3 slices of each. And the strawberries looked like the ones my kid left in his lunchbox a few days ago. The Italian veggies are canned mushrooms. - everything was outrageously expensive- if it was good, we would have been happy to pay these prices, but this was really not good - pretty sure the chef who made the meatballs was named Boyardee I hope they can do better for future guests.

Excellent food and service. Pricey but some portions like the Parmesan dishes are for sharing.

My husband and I love this place. Nobody makes veal as good as they do. We take all our visitors here.

Food was good, not amazing. But drinks and food are expensive for what it is. 1 Pizza, 1 entree and 4 drinks were $150 for 2 people. Noise level is high if you don’t care for that. Service was a little slow for sure but it was a Saturday night so expected. .

Although the staff was friendly, the service wasn’t great. We had a reservation and when we got there the restaurant was empty and they wanted to seat us in the back by the kitchen. They moved us to the window but the chairs were dusty and my napkin was dirty. It took almost 40 mins to get bread for the table which the food runner basically threw on the table with a loud thud and walked away. I wouldn’t recommend a sit down dinner here, but maybe food to go. The food was excellent!
