From the OpenTable editors: Antoine’s is the county’s oldest continuously operating restaurant and a special-occasion destination for its opulent setting and elegant, French-Creole fare. The food is always spot on! Presented beautifully and tastes divine. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The ambience is ok, but for fine dining, it felt a little crowded. I would have preferred to have a choice of which dining room. Mostly because we adhered to the dress code but were surrounded by tables that didn't. It made it feel less special. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will continue to dine at Antoine's every time we visit NOLA.

We were very excited to try one of New Orleans’s ‘Grande Dames,” but honestly this was a let down. Service was incredibly slow, and our server seemed very occupied with multiple large parties (we were only a party of two). We waited about 15 minutes to place our order, and ordered all courses at once. Waiter even made a remark “not to worry, he’d pace all courses like we wanted.” Red flag one came just a few minutes later when he came back to ask my son (20) what his starter course was. Shortly thereafter our first course came, Oysters Rockefeller. We were surprised how fast it came out, before our drinks from the bar. They weren’t very hot however, so I assume the kitchen had an extra plate of Oysters Rock ready when we ordered. We finished the oysters and then it was about 10 minutes later our bar drinks came out. Then we waited more. And more. Probably 25-30 minutes after our appetizer came out, they brought me a glass of wine I’d ordered to come with my a This was red flag two, because we hadn’t gotten my soup or salad yet. As soon as I sipped my wine, the food runner delivered our entrees. We were both hungry, and decided to dig in because I hadn’t seen our actual server since he’d come back to the table to inquire about my son’s salad. At my third bite, he appeared with our soup and salad. I told him we’d just continue to enjoy our entrees, and he said he’d take them off our bill with a small mumbled apology. My filet was good, but barely warm. It clearly had been sitting and waiting a while. My son’s lamb chops were cooked perfectly and arrived hot. We ate the entrees, no check back until we were done. We waited again for 15ish mins for plates to be cleared. Until this point no one had cleared the table of our bread plates and cocktail glasses. Then the baked Alaska comes out, from the food runner again. He served it to us, and it was delicious- but wondering why all the big parties had the full experience with the dessert being lit on fire and we didnt

We live in New Orleans and had been to Antoine’s before. Again, the experience lived up to the reputation. Out server was Lita. She was phenomenal because she informed us about the history of the restaurant and was thorough regarding the specials. She made sure that we were accommodated with anything we asked for. Actually the prices were very reasonable. Gumbo was incredible but tho lamb chops were SUPER delicious. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

The entire experience was lovely and a perfect end to our visit in New Orleans! The ambiance was warm & inviting. Staff were personable, professional, and attentive. The food was spectacular! We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and Pompano Pontchartrain which were both prepared perfectly. I would recommend without question.
