A.O.C is a small plates restaurant driven by seasonal ingredients, locally sourced. Our California French cuisine was developed by Chef Suzanne Goin, and has some Mediterranean influences as well. We have a large selection of wines by the glass and over 150 bottles chose from, curated by Caroline Styne, all of witch are either organic, biodynamic or sustainable. Featuring a full bar with premium spirits and specialty cocktails.

    Had a really nice lunch/brunch in the pretty re-decorated front room. Burger was delish! Service was good but we were a bit put off by the following two thongs: 1- Fresh bread (which was very good) was $9.00! And we were not told that there was a charge for bread. 2- They added a $6.00 “hospitality charge” for the health care of their employees. It felt wrong to charge without first advising us of the charge. They did remove that though. Note that a nice touch is that if you park in the back, they validate parking for 90 minutes. We loved the food though!

    We were a party of 6 and were pretty much universally of the opinion that the restaurant was very expensive for the amount and type of food served. Moreover, we were disappointed that they would not split the bill among the 3 couples but made that our responsibility. We were also surprised, that despite being informed weeks in advance that we were celebrating one of our party's birthdays, they did nothing to acknowledge that person I any way. When you add on extra money not covered by the restaurant validation some of our party was charged for parking next door, + a 6% surcharge for employee healthcare, not anxious to return

    It was a disappointing experience- the food wasn’t great. Service was slow. And there was a very load party in the private room. We never got one of the dishes we ordered.

    I brought a potential client to dinner here and was highly disappointed. It started at the bar where the bill for the two drinks that I ordered seemed high. It wasn't until I got home that I realized that I had been given someone else's tab. We sat down to dinner and ordered a round of appetizers and three entrees. Two of the entrees arrived first and we had to flag down our waiter to ask why that happened. He had no response and sent out one of the appetizers immediately and then the other two arrived (mind you this was just olives and almonds) arrived fifteen minutes later. I asked him to remove the salad from our order and where the other entree was. Ten minutes later it arrived. For the final mishap, I asked him to please validate my parking. It was no shock when I went to leave the parking lot and found out that my ticket had not been validated and I had to pay the full amount.

    We were in west LA for UCLA Family weekend. Service was good and my avocado toast was excellent. My granddaughter thought the French toast was too rich, my grandson loved his steak and eggs. The Duck Hash was not Hash, but chunks of Duck. Service was good and will come back to try dinner
