   Incredibly frustrated. I emailed the aquarium 2 months before my son’s birthday about a party. Initially they had several morning time slots available but they ever emailed me back and by the time I did get back ahold of them they did not have any times that worked for us, so I had to make a reservation at the restaurant and do balloon and cake add-ons. When I made the reservation I specified that we wanted the Water Room because it’s a birthday party with a lot of people and I also conveyed this to the party planner who told me I had to book it separately through her manager. So I emailed the manager who also never responded. I made sure to check in for our noon reservation 15 minutes ahead of time so that they could have plenty of time to get the high chairs set up and everything. They had literally just seated a party of 6 in the water room but told us that the party was almost done and that they were just waiting for them to pay, and gave us an option of waiting or being seated elsewhere. Since we had been told the other party was just paying we opted to wait, only to see them get their food brought out several minutes later. We ended up waiting for our reservation almost 30 minutes past our time slot, which was incredibly difficult with multiple toddlers. Also, they had a big enough table for us next to that other party the whole time and were just waiting because they couldn’t fit three high chairs around it, when I explicitly stated in my reservation note that I only needed one high chair. They also forgot one of our balloon bundles and I had to go get it myself. We wouldn’t have needed the reservation in the first place if the party department had responded to me in a timely fashion and I was prepared to fully rent out the space for an extra fee, but that person also blew us off. there were at least 3 people on notice that we wanted that space at that time and they still couldn’t make it work. ended up taking 2 hrs &all the kids were fussy/falling asleep

   I am extremely disappointed with our overall experience at your restaurant. It appears my order of the “Thanksgiving Dinner” was mere leftovers as it did not look anything like other plates being brought out to other guests. I had only 3-4 small bits of what appeared to be turkey leg where others had. 3-4 large slices of turkey breast. We orders the “shark explosion dessert” to share and when it arrived it was mostly melted and did not even have the shark fin on top. Again, it looked nothing like the other deserts being brought out. Our server never came to refill our drinks. My family’s experience is not what I was expecting for spending over $100 for a dinner. We will not be back.

   Thought the reservation was for the Thanksgiving buffet only to arrive and find out the buffet ended hrs earlier. Very disappointed. Had a Thanksgiving meal but not the same as the buffet I thought I had reservations for. Recommend that the buffet remains open all day on Thanksgiving day.

   I am grateful for the stellar holiday meal at the Downtown Aquarium. A delicious meal, festive atmosphere, and delightful value all the way around. Thank you, Aaron, for hosting a fabulous Thanksgiving!

   To be fair, this is based on a Thanksgiving Day luncheon buffet but take that out and insert a normal a la carte menu evening and the scores would be the same. The ambience can't be beat with the giant fish tank (I think a few were angry at me when they saw I had some salmon and shrimp) and, if anything, on a less busy time, already great service might be even better. Selections for the buffet were plentiful, kept hot where appropriate and filled. That prevented the herd mentality that can arise at a buffet not maintained well. They have been upping their game with cuisine over the past few years to where this is worth considering even if you are not planning on touring (at separate cost) the terrific aquarium itself.

   Experience with the atmosphere was good and service was good. Food however left a lot to be desired. Wasn’t satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. Servings seemed very off in terms of ratio of what was on the plate. And based on the quality was over priced

   Our experience was fantastic! Our hostess Emily Bennett was extremely friendly, efficient, and made sure we had everything we needed, even moving us tables when we asked to be closer to the fish tank! Our server Genna was also awesome and had great service!

    Food was good and the server was sweet, but the wait time was absolutely ridiculous. We were excited to be sat 30 mins early but the entire meal took 2.5 hours. And we wanted to get home to get little kids to bed. Ambiance was a bit too loud and open for my liking. And it was expensive!
