   We ended up being about 20 minutes late for our reservation but they were able to seat us in the bar lounge area. Everything was fantastic. The food, service, ambiance, and drinks! Our favorites were the Dzkipak, and the wagyu (tostada?). The dessert menu was inventive and the one that we got wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet which was a great way to finish a meal. The runners were able to describe the food in great detail and could answer any questions I had. The best part though was our server Mila. She was fantastic. Had great suggestions for food, cocktails, and mezcal. Would definitely go back again.

   Deliciosos los platillos, llenos de sabores, texturas y colores. Realmente recomiendo probarlo!!!! El ambiente es tranquilo lo cual me pareció magnífico.

   It was raining, we were all clumped into a big table under a roof. It rained through the roof. I was totally wet at the end of the dinner. This is NOT what a Michelin star restaurant should offer for that price. They gave us a small discount only after asking for it. The small discount was 2 cokes and one glass of wine for free. For 700 per (very small) pesos this is absolutely unacceptable

   We recently dined at ARCA in Mexico, opting for the tasting menu. While the ambiance was pleasant, and the staff attentive, our experience left much to be desired, especially given the exceptionally high price—about ten times what one might typically pay at a restaurant in Mexico. The food was fine, but it felt overly complicated, as if the chefs were trying too hard to impress rather than letting the natural flavors of Mexican cuisine shine through. Authentic Mexican food is inherently delicious, and simplicity often speaks louder than extravagance. Unfortunately, my husband and I both fell ill 24 hours after our meal, despite being extremely careful during our trip—we even used bottled water for brushing our teeth. While we cannot say for certain what caused our sickness, the timing was concerning. While ARCA may appeal to those seeking a high-end, experimental dining experience, it didn’t live up to our expectations or justify the cost. This was a 5/10 tasting menu and everything was spicy! For us, it was a disappointing and ruined our entire trip.
